What game do you wish Phil would play? - AKA best future TIHYDP material?

Honestly, another game I'd love to see Phil fuck up is the classic GoldenEye for the N64 or it's Wii remake. Mainly the former so he could try and bitch about the controller only having one thumbstick, alongside doing dumb shit like stand near explosives.
An N64 playthrough would be filled with constant whining about N64 controls, the camera, the 'shitty' graphics, it would be priceless. Sadly closest you can get is Perfect Dark XBLA being included on the Rare Replay set where he played it for a single 18 minute video... and that runs in HD widescreen at 60fps, so I don't recall much whining.
DSP actually did play the Goldeneye remake for the Wii, not the 360/PS3 later release though. He actually played a bunch of 007 games, like the 'sequel' 007 Legends from the same devs Eurocom, Blood Stone that had Activision kill off Bizarre Creations, even Quantum of Solace on the old darksydephil channel (but AFAIK that didn't get a TIHYDP). Here's 0utsyder's TIHYDP for Goldeneye on Wii. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dw2fiZgsuq8

EDIT: I suppose I should give my obvious suggestion - the original System Shock. He can play Portable or Enhanced Edition with the E key for mouselook mod, but he'd still have his mind blown by the controls and get nowhere.

He did play the wii version

Path of Exile.

The game wants to kill you and will do it in new and unknown ways. No death recap means you could have 0 idea what killed you and a lot of mechanics are not explained in game, but on the wiki.

The MeltdownSaltPhil experience would be one in a million

I can already hear him complaining about fucked up inputs for this already.
Speaking of which, I think this would be interesting since we would not only get some new SF2 and 3 salt out of it, but we would get to see him try Street Fighter Alpha 3, a game which he talked about quite a bit during mid to late 1998 (the WhoaMoses usenet posts)

Manhunt (he already played a part of it, but I mean a full playthrough of it)

Quake 3 Arena online (guaranteed to be a saltastic mess)

Wolfenstein 3D (if simply because the mutants in Episode 2 will drive him nuts)

In fact, old school fpses as a whole (Duke 3D, Doom, Hexen etc) but I'd think the one that would take the cake is Blood on the regular difficulty. That game doesn't fuck around and in the first chapter not only do you have to be very careful on not getting hit (because you die incredibly quickly and there isn't that much health) but also on not spending too much ammo because ammo is pretty scarce at that point in the game.
That game would break him and he'd likely ragequit the game before he finishes the first chapter.

Battletoads on NES. He played the first four levels but good lord was it a mess. I mean, even with rewinds he was dying so fucking much it was completely hilarious (think Forza Horizon 3 where he abused the hell out of the rewind function and he still sucked ass)
A full playthrough of that would be pure salt.

Lastly, there's this rather obscure game called Broken Helix. It's an unique game in that every event happens in real time so you always have to be moving, you can't catch a break (or at least not for too long) or you risk making the game unwinnable (early on in the game, you are descending floors while a couple of mercs chase you. At every floor they arrive they blow up some generators which will electrify the floor they are in. Essentially, an invisible time limit)
Even if chat told him what to do, the game is very unforgiving in that you can't afford to waste time at all, there are several bullshit escort missions, numerous stealth segments, as well as very strict platforming over instant death pits. You can save wherever you want, but saves are limited. Worse, if you die, you go back to the last save point. Didn't save? Game over, back to the title screen, a la Resident Evil.
It's also an old PS1 game that has awkward controls which would only add to his frustration with the game.

If the other playthroughs would be saltastic, this one would probably make him close down his Patreon account if a fan suggested it to him as a Patreon paid playthrough. And that is no exaggeration. It's pretty much what Phil hates all rolled up into 1 package but magnified 1000 times.

I would love to see him tackle the classics. I'm talking from NES to N64 or the Pokemon games because Pokemon is retarded and so is he.

A lot of them are on the Wii shop. Plus theres the "Arrrr" way...

any of the ace attorney games would be hilarious (idk if he's played them previously) due his shit reading comprehension causing him to probably fail even the easiest court cases / get stuck

unfortunately he could rely on stream chat a lot or just really boring trial and error, so maybe not.

He actually played the first two (Ace Attorney/Justice for All), along with Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. The first game was kind of uneventful (though compared to later games, it's not exactly ball-busting), but he quit the playthrough of Justice for All right before the final case (AKA best case in the entire series), and had to come back to it years later, where he had no idea what was going on and had help from the stream chat.

Let's just say the events of "Farewell, my Turnabout" didn't exactly have the same impact one would expect, seeing as how he returned to the game after forgetting everything about the plot leading up to it, and people in the chat probably telling him everything. And it's pretty much a given he'll never play Trials and Tribulations, because money.

If Phil wants to do a MGS redemption run, he should solo Peace Walker. When he ran it he co-oped with John Rambo and he just carried Phil through the entire game.

The old Tony Hawk games. He did Skate back then and ragequit. Every sports game makes him rage pretty bad, especially the WWE games.
Skate had a huge learning curve but it came at you slow and steady. It's a really good game though, very rewarding once you are playing at a higher level.

Really any driving game would ruin Phil's life. He is horrible at racing games in particular. Maybe an old shitty game like Star Wars Pod Racers, or a good one like Cruis'n World.

I want him to play that one game where he admits he started this whole thing by being a low budget, no effort AVGN knock-off but then proceed to ride his surprising YouTube success down the shitter with low-effort vlogs and recording himself eating horrible fast food. That or Friday the 13th on NES.

Did he play Valkyria Chronicles? Because there's a character that looks like him and just as incompetent.
