What game do you wish Phil would play? - AKA best future TIHYDP material?

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I want him to play that one game where he admits he started this whole thing by being a low budget, no effort AVGN knock-off but then proceed to ride his surprising YouTube success down the shitter with low-effort vlogs and recording himself eating horrible fast food. That or Friday the 13th on NES.
He played Friday for nes along with Dr. Jekyl and mr. Hyde

A fairly obscure game called Deadly Rooms of Death or better known as DROD.

It's half puzzle, half dungeon crawler. This game would drive DSP completely insane as it's extremely difficult but completely fair.

Darkest Dungeon.

He played DD last year or so, He only did the tutorial and the first ruins quest, He got super lucky with the RNG so there was like no rage and he took so long to do anything that by the time it got to the real; game he was out of time i started played Stardew valley i think.

For a week or so i tried to get him to play FFXIV/FFXII (/autism i know) FF14 would break him with how annoying it can be with the main story and how each class is locked to a role so he can't be a DPS tank like in most games.

I would like him to play any Warhammer game or a Total war game just for him to get blown the fuck out by everything.

Reactions: Coin Ops
Elder Scrolls 3 - Morrowind

There is no quest markers in Morrowind instead you're given directions that get put into a journal. Like "follow the river past the Dwemer bridge and the Imperial fort and then turn right"

You walk painfully slow in comparison to Oblivion / Skyrim

Vanilla combat is total RNG based on agility and luck. (Can be fixed with a mod to make it more Oblivion / Skyrim like)

Could just be :autism: but I think the salt and the keyboard slams would be hillarious. :story:

Did he play Valkyria Chronicles? Because there's a character that looks like him and just as incompetent.

WHAT? I lost the fortress?! I WAS DEFENDING!

Jesus Christ now I can never unsee him as basically anime Phil. He says so many things that Phil would say if he were in his position. Even their laughs are similar.

But yeah, Phil would have very little patience for Valkyria Chronicles. Aside from it being pretty hard at times, he'll more than likely try to save scum and as a result deal with a ton of long ass loading screens.

He's actually played Friday the 13th on the NES before and he didn't finish the whole game.

I'd like to see him play Dungeons & Dragons with an established group of D&D streamers. He'd derail that campaign in a heartbeat.
He'd utterly bitch out; he's a coward and riddled with paranoia. I would love to see that though as well as how he'd fuck up as a DM with the stream chat being his players (mostly just the paypigs). Never happening, but It'd be funny.

Actually I kind of for real want to see him try a game like Professor Layton. Or maybe even Phoenix Wright, though Phoenix Wright is a little bit more easy to criticize because some of the solutions in the early game *are* kind of obtuse and would give him any sort of credence to "That was stupid!" that he likes to do.

But Professor Layton, he would get stuck on the first puzzles, and wouldnt be able to work through them, or would struggle to, probably not even try and just give up and go "this is stooooopid! Im not even gonna get any views or cheers!"

I understand why people dont/wouldnt stream or lp those games, and why people wouldnt watch them--but I would find it fascinating for about 5 episodes, just to get a visual, a glimpse into his mind and his train of logic, watching him puzzle out and logic through some of these puzzles.

You couldnt really cheat and use a guide either because people would be expecting to see you think through it and be able to see and follow your logic, so for a more complex puzzle, he couldnt just watch the answer ahead of time or follow a guide like he did with Banjo Kazooie.

For instance, there's one puzzle where it asks you to perform a specific action, and the clue is "You cant do anything to solve this puzzle!" And 'you cant do anything' is highlighted red, but Im imagining him like doing all sorts of shit and getting frustrated then going "What the fuck the game didnt tell me! He said there was a specific action I had to do to open the door! There was nothing I could do! It deliberately lied, the game CHEATED!"

I really want to just see him try, just to get a frame of reference for his logic, his way of thinking, a glimpse into his mind. How smart IS a valedictorian?

No More Heroes. Mostly because I'd get a sort of masochistic thrill out of watching him completely misunderstand the game's themes and drool over the female assassins.
