Advertising income -

Generally, income received from advertising is subject to business and occupation (B&O) tax under the Service and Other Activities classification. Retail sales tax does not apply.



Donations –

Amounts received as donations where no goods or services are exchanged are not subject to B&O tax, or sales tax.



Crowdfunding –

Your B&O tax classification is based on the rewards you give your backers. Amounts received as donations (no goods or services provided) or received for items with no significant value are not subject to tax. However, amounts received for providing non-retail services are subject to B&O tax under the Service and Other Activities classification. For more information, see our article onCrowdfunding.



Merchandise sales –

Sales of merchandise are subject to B&O tax under the Retailing classification, and retail sales tax, when you make the sale. If you merely receive a commission from sales that a third party makes, these amounts are subject to B&O tax under the Service and Other Activities classification.

So his B&O tax might be basically nothing since like 80% of his gross income is in exchange for nothing- depends on whether or not his attorney is able to successfully argue bits and tips are in exchange for nothing. Subs maybe but you do get emotes and sub only mode in exchange I guess.

Although, I think a point that was missed is that Phil doesn't want to play Sunshine because he has no way to stream it in the type of quality he wants from his Wii. To do that, he'd have to emulate it off of is PC using Dolphin. Thus rendering his argument that, "I don't play games on my $3,000+ PC because it's a Lemon" completely false. Meaning he could have been playing superior versions of multiplayer and fighting games on PC, with insanely better net-code, all a long.

The sooner you guys figure out DSP is the most uncreative, not exciting, hermit man in the Seattle area, the better off you'll be.

This is having a good time in his eyes, window shopping or buying a couple of things in his local super store/mall. If not there its the arcade. These are things that teenagers do when they want to just "hangout".

And this pretty much confirms to me, if she is even real, that this girl is late teens early 20s at best. Its confirmed she was a fangirl and they met via the internet.

I think there were whispers of new footage for Death Stranding being debuted. I doubt Phil is at al interested in that game (Kojima) but the awards have been so bad these past few years that there has been loads of material to draw from it.

I'm not convinced DSP knows he can't capture/stream Mario Sunshine yet, he should have complained by now that he'd need some new capture hardware or a new 'converter' so he can get the Wii to output HDMI somehow. I imagine he's doing his usual utter lack of DSPsearch and just assumes there's a digital download for the WiiU or even Switch, because it's a MAIN MARIO GAME and it MUST be available, right? Just like Metroid Prime! Oh wait, except that was a Trilogy Wii disc that got included early on in the WiiU digital Wii downloads library.

EDIT: To further this logic, consider Saw 2 and the Halloween marathons. 2015 he thinks it's available as a 360 or PS3 digital download, finds that it isn't. 2016 apparently he allows it to the poll again & drops it when he realises. 2017 it's in the poll AGAIN and comes 2nd, with DSP then realising it's not available as a digital download. THREE TIMES. You'd think he'd have remembered after this news is why 2015's Halloween marathon was 'not so good' as it was only the recently released in the west Fatal Frame game for WiiU being played for the entire few hours. It just doesn't stick in his head at all.

DSP can be very vague when he wants to be. I don't recall a hard 'definitely playing Sunshine in January' statement, more the vague idea because that's when YouTube ad revenue is lowest so he'd lose as little as possible... and even then he had this strange 'if I haven't been playing Mario too recently' logic considering he was fine with playing Sonic Adventure 1, straight into 2 without being forced and Mania in the same month, plus Forces shortly after it came out.
It's like how it seems Patreon in 2015 was all focused on Project 7... without specifically requiring Project 7 to happen. $30 T-shirt perk with old stock Project 7 shirts, $75 perk for a cameo in Project 7 'or some other special video'.
For Sunshine he implied if it wasn't January then it would be July, the next lowest ad revenue time on YouTube. So these 'Q1 2018' claims make no sense, ad revenue should pick up in February/March so it'd hurt more in ad revenue than doing it in July. Perhaps he finally sees the PR hit or thinks people will be more pissed off by July or beyond & thus give him less money on Twitch streams when he finally plays it.

Yes, I remember a prestream where DSP warned against Sunshine winning and then within a day or 2 another prestream where he whined that 'detractors' placed more votes for Sunshine after his warning. drgnkiller probably has a quote somewhere so people can figure out which prestreams he ranted on, or there's probably Snort Burnell or Mrhuth Stuff clips from them.

Also watching movies until at least 1:29 AM when he was somewhere in the middle of the Grinch movie with Jim Carey. I bet his girlfriend absolutely loved that. Again, I'm starting to wonder if this woman is real.
