On the topic of old phil vs new phil one difference I'm noticing is that phil apologizes a lot less if at all. I can't remember the last time he gave a straight out apology within the last couple of years. Before he'd apologize, selfservingly of course and admit fault and then go back to his usual self so often it became the first iteration of the DSP cycle everybody joked about. I also notice Dat Passive Aggressive Laugh a lot more. Must be some sort of defense mechanism.

I found this to be a pertinent perspective regarding Phil's boasting that people better "prepare to be bodied" when the Street Fighter Anniversary Collection comes out.

His head was swollen from the idea that he was the best Street Fighter Player in America from winning 4th in Evo. Some people define themselves through their job some people through those they love, cheesing a port in some dumb tournament to 4th place is how Phil defined himself through much of his young adult life. And its still a very important part of his ego, if you removed it especially back then his self image collapses.

I get the feeling that while SF is less popular than in the arcade days relatively speaking it is way more democratized due to the ease of online play. So when Phil actually plays a broader subset of the world than just a handful of nerds obsessed enough to blow money on vegas to tap dance Ryu, its a nasty shock finding out hes the equivalent of a B student in the local highschool rather than a world renowned Presidential Scholar and that really bites him deep.

And not that Phil himself thinks this deep but consider that SF even with online play is still a niche pursuit that the vast majority of the world doesn't know, let alone care about. What if everybody in the world trained on and competed in SF? How much further down in the rankings would that knock down the guy who's crowning pride is his fighting game abilities? So he rages especially hard about fighting games and most of all about SF and does everything he can to convince himself its ALL the lag, lack of practice, scrub, dumb game etc.

Uhm, as far as I remember Phil has NEVER apologized for anything. The absolute closest you get to that is his yearly vlog where he promises to change.

I still maintain that once upon a time Phil was good at ST. But he has completely forgotten almost everything about the game and most of all fighting game fundamentals.

Egghead? Isn't that what you call a really smart guy? I can see this guy is as good at ending sentence insults as Phil. Keeping an eye on known "detractor's" tweets was a given and they probably stop in here too. They should make accounts and chat with us, it worked so well for @BSV.

TKOHF-logic:
A detractor spots anything in Phil's videos or pictures - he is a sociopath and mentally ill.
Someone with a suspicious username registers - let's find as much info as we can about him on twitter and KF.

Probably asking a bit much, but does anyone have a chart showing the number of patrons ScamArtistPhil has and his Patreon income? I kinda want to see a visual representation of failure that isn't Phil scratching his leg. We can call it 'The Decline and Fall of the Empire of Dirt'

Egghead implies BOOK smart and as we all know, Phil was in mean streets of connecticut so he has the STREET smarts.

Well, ThatCatGuy still posts so I don't know if Phil has looked into that account.
Would be hilarious if the taxattorney account were a genuine fan though.
(Almost seemed to me that way tbh)
