Does that mean she lives pretty far away?
Also he just admitted that she was using a plane and since Phil is the one who is calling airlines to get this sorted, there is a big possibility that he was the one paying for her flight.

So she lives far enough away to have a connecting flight. so why does he need to keep the house to continue his relationship with the new gf? His stories are getting easier and easier to poke holes in.
I knew it was some kind of escort gold digger. He pays to fly her over from wherever she is and pays to show her around town. In return he gets to use her for guilty donation money.

Its like so much of the rest of his life. For SF he was fortuitously in the right place at the right time. He broke into Street Fighter when tournaments were limited to a very small selfselected group of fighting game enthusiasts, not necessary the best of the best but those who had the time and will to jet around and expend a large amount of cash for a popular but ultimately niche video game. THEN he rose during a particular year when most of the best of these players were boycotting. THEN to this tournament he happens to be around during the time they are playing with a weird port rather than the standard game.
Its kind of uncanny of how you see the same trademark DSP dumb blundering 'luck' we talk so much about now at work even back then. Don't get me wrong the Evo players back then are pretty good and 4th place was 4th place but its fair to argue that a championship level player back then and a championship level player now in the era of the internet and more truly global competition are two different things. And it kind of shows since even for a former 'best SF player in America' Phil gets bodied quite regularly by random scrub anons trickling through online matches even in USF which is supposed to be a very faithful port.
