Does anybody call a person by their name when theyre just talking to an employee anyway? Like unless they introduce themselves to you or youre having a more prolonged or a more involved interaction with them, I always thought it was considered kind of rude? Like you would say "sir" or "maam", but why do you need to know the name of your barista?
Au contraire. Calling them by name is, as far as I know, typically a kind and appreciated gesture. Assuming, that is, that it's done in a nice, non-creepy way.

Why are you even looking to learn her name unless in your case youre planning on stalking her or some shit.
