But you know what we know about Male Feminists by now. The louder and more obnoxious they are, the higher the likelihood that they're a sex offender or something equally horrific. All it can do is leave us with the question:

"What was David Gallant talking about? What did he do?"

We may never know. It might be something so minor dating back to his childhood that no one would ever care about, or it could be something so foul that no one would ever be willing to associate with him again. We'll never really know now, and I both lament and am thankful for this in equal measure.

It may take years to find out, but we will find out in the end. Just look at what happened with Neogaf. There's probably a post out there somewhere talking about him. Also, wasn't he always going to coffee shops to talk to developers in Toronto because he was desperate to be in that clique? Or am I thinking of another guy who wasn't actually interested in games there?

Defending Nyberg after Wesley got thrown out of the clique (along with Dan Olson) when their attempt to plant child porn on 8chan backfired spectacularly. Wesley never forgives a slight or insult and thought honeypotting some honest-to-god pedophiles would be the bestest way ever to get on CON's good books. Instead the entire thing blew up in their faces, Wes and Olson had the door slammed in their faces, and Wesley took out his rage by going after Nyberg's defenders.

Nah, the dates on those tweets are too early for that to be the explanation. Dan Olson's "The Mods Are Always Asleep" piece about CP on 8chan didn't go up until December 22, 2014, and srhbutts' identity wasn't publicly known until December 31. The first inklings of Nyberg's pedophilia were found a few days later.

From what I can tell, it had to do with Wesley's extreme hatred for @vivian_games (now @LilBrattyBun; more info here), an anti-GG troon. In October 2014, Vivian_games defended loli/shota hentai as "not child porn," claimed not everyone who enjoyed it was a pedophile, and said that it was sometimes helpful for CSA survivors. Wesley responded to vivian_games' remarks with "I swear to all thats holy ill see your platform burn you sick fuck," as documented in Wesley's storify. @Hellfire's screenshot is from this tweet chain 10 days later where Wesley accuses David of being a pedo apologist for defending vivian_games. Unfortunately that chain doesn't appear to be archived and no longer includes David's or Wesley's tweets because the former is protected and the latter is banned, but the remaining tweets give enough context to fill in the gaps.

That's curious, but does bring up several questions. Nyberg's clearly having his associates in CON run interference - you can see it in the CON logs. This begs the question: Was there something else going on that we didn't even know about? Past experience would suggest that maybe one of Nyberg's buddies was planning to squawk, but we'll never know for sure now.

Important to note, by the way - unlike a lot of other cows we cover, Wesley aggressively goes out of his way to get shit delisted from Archive and the Wayback machine, which is why he's usually impossible to effectively track once he gets a banhammer swing.

Unless he's abandoned his Facebook, not likely. He still pops up in the Friends lists of REEEEEbecca Gerber and Alex Leal in a quick 30 second check, for example. Probably makes do with "they forced me into hiding" sobbing in a rat hole there.

He at least isn't openly sperging on fully public social media where we know of, though (doesn't bar obscure networks and/or pseudonymous posting). It doesn't make the old jerking off and failure to wipe disappear (he'd have to be publicly do notable things other than be a virtue-signaling twatbeard and somehow defeat the mighty Kiwi SEO), but it at least keeps it from getting worse.
