It's a bit like the fable of the farmer and the viper IMO. People came to skeptic channels and atheist channels to experience the thrill of people getting owned. However, years of anti-SJW content moved their audience to the right to such an extent that they were no longer edgy enough for their own audience, which moved to the alt-right. Which is why we are now in the extremely ironic situation of the final evolution of skeptic channels being Christian reactionaries.

It’s worse than that. Kraut, Jeff Holiday, Woz Lee, and the others were gathering information on Dr. Layman and “keeping an eye on him” because he was friends Aydin. That’s how far they went. Being friendly with people they didn’t like made you a “person of interest.” That’s how petty they are.

I believe Harmful Opinions said on his channel that the stuff you saw with Kraut was more common than you'd believe. Slack (Adult Discord) is also a thing for information control. Agreeing to do videos about a person and releasing them all at once to railroad the target off YouTube simply because they had said something they disagreed with.

If it's true, perhaps all those "I'm so shocked" podcasts with Warski Live and the other personalities are an attempt to clean their image.

Ok, who the fuck is Warski, and did he had a big presence before any of this broke, or was he a Mundane Matt style "I'll just insert myself into whatever goings on and try to get some shade that way" type deal? I was vaguely aware of most of these guys if only in passing before, I have no idea where Warski came from.

Far as I can tell he was just yet another of those streamers who mixed in and out of the skeptosphere. His jumping in appears to be that a lot of the big releases and admissions of things happened on his streams (things like Jeff lying, the CRP 'ill fite u irl', and Aydin crying). So, I'll call it that kind of luck that happens when preparations meets lots and lots of opportunity.
