I've never been too A-loggy because I've always had the perspective that Phil is a fairly harmless asshole who doesn't hurt anybody. He doesn't need to be "brought to justice" in any way, he doesn't need to be "stopped". He's just a fascinating human study of an asshole. No need to get angry.
However, this "Fundraiser" is the first time I've gotten truly irritated. It's offensive and insulting to call a planned beg-a-thon a "fundraiser". Right now on Twitch there are some very worthy charity fundraiser streams happening. But Phil is not a charity - his "cause" is entirely selfish, and he is exploiting a small percentage of people who are vulnerable to his cult of personality.
It's amazing how I thought Phil was at his most monstrous and pathetic at the beginning of this year. "How could he get any worse?" Then throughout 2017 he surprised us, month-by-month, by how much further he could sink. How much lower he was willing to crawl in the dirt. How much more shameless he could become.
Phil is NOT a man with a financial crisis -- He is a man with two houses, a new car, and nice material possessions... and also a financial crisis. Phil is going to sit there in his very large house, with 600 blu-rays stacked against the wall, a closet full of figurines, and a new car in the garage... and beg for his taxes to be paid by the internet. The cunt is actually going to call it a "fundraiser". I'm so annoyed, you may as well hit that A-Log hat for me.
