WEW! A quick correction: 5000 bits is only $50. I would say you'd be able to tell the difference, because $5000 would hypothetically make DSP film himself doing cartwheels on his front lawn. Right? Except we've seen how he reacts to $1000 donations. He gurgles slightly louder than the usual gurgling. Sound good? Fair enough?

Also, slightly :offtopic:, but although Mystery Woman claims to have been paid, DSP's love life is still a catastrophe waiting to happen whether that story was a ruse or not. The alleged real girl is either a naive teenager or a golddigger.

Have we explored the idea that Nuleanna's family is rich and DSP is quite transparently trying to shack up to save his own behind?

Let's explore that a little further. A rich family would typically indicate some sort of intelligence from the parents. Intelligent enough to ask their daughter what her new boyfriend does for a living. "Youtuber" should immediately throw up some flags, at least to the point of a few quick google searches, which the first result for Phil Burnell is the LOLcow Wiki.

It would not take much investigating from that point to deduce that he is a greedy money grubbing pig who treats women like maids. At which point the parents would presumably no longer approve and warn the young lady she either leaves the pig or she is cut off, making her wealth moot.

She would have to be a self made woman of wealth but even then she would have to have the intelligence of Snooki not to realize Phil only wanted a rich maid he could leech off of.

At which point he could easily lie for a few months claiming his twitch revenue and what not have been lackluster and he can't cover bills, so he could stash his funds into a secret account for retirement while making his new maid cover the bulk of the bills. Playing that game for a year would easily net him $75k+ he would just stash away.

Glad my estimate of between 72k-120k was fairly accurate all things considered.

It's astonishing that one man earning that much needs to beg to children on twitch.

Well when you have no friends, family that presumably hates you, no girlfriend, no prospects in life, no talent, no skills, poor health, bad social skills, no dignity, and nothing to offer another human being, kids are the only targets that he can hit with any kind of accuracy.

But it's especially mind-boggling BECAUSE he has no friends, family that presumably hates him, no girlfriend, no prospects in life, no talent, no skills, poor health, bad social skills, no dignity, and nothing to offer another human being! It's only on his lonely hermit life he spends money, not on the nights out with friends or family!

Wasn't that the estimate somebody threw around when he was talking about his back taxes anyways? So twitch is covering possibly evenly what he lost in revenue before. $95,000, no wonder Phil pays for an empty condo and never bothered checking what bills were being automatically withdrawn from his account/what he was paying for it.

Sound thinking. But this is assuming she tells her parents the truth about him. And that DSP tells the truth about himself to her... Imagine if he used a pseudonym. (Carlos Danger?) DSP was fine to get engaged to Leanna without ever having met any of her family members. Maybe he will try to lowkey "kidnap" Nuleanna in the same way -- isolating her from her circle of support.

Very partial tip tracking from @EddyB43 as he admits in his tweets. We will never know how many untracked "shadow pledges" or paypal donations come through. $95,000 is the floor.

They would have rallied anyways cause people would be saying the taxes were bullshit anyways or why does Phil need a fucking fundraiser. Go look back at past posts and people being stunned by the donations that pour in when he talks about how shitty his life is. We could try an experiment and say "Hey let's all not talk about Phil for 2 months and see if his business collapses" but there are too many try hards that have no other hobbies in life, just like his fans that need to watch him. And his business wouldn't collapse, he'll still be on the internet, so what if he moves back to CT or a smaller apartment? He's still the goutlord, he wouldn't have learned from that experience.

I know lots of people would love to dance to Phil "losing his house" but that would be a slow process anyways and he would beggathon while people made fun of him and the donations would come pouring in. And really it was like two people who dumped the most of that money in. It doesn't matter whether it's the escort, his back taxes, his nasal drip/throat not-cancer, his back, his break-up, he always has some sort of emergency or drama and he will always play "them vs us" even if there wasn't anybody shitting on him - he's always and underdog to his fans. So yeah blame the escort story, but I don't think anything is the world would have stopped BSV from digging into those pockets to keep Phil around anyways.
