There's already been some fucking
spectacular meltdowns from this shit already. Many of them are fucking
comic gold.
Here's one of my favorites:
Former Marvel employee.
Jesus that one particular stupid meltdown. Also if it's actually Alex de Campi's twitter, well first she should stop twitter and write more comics she is far better at that. And second, she is mostly a Image/TokyoPop/Dark Horse (which technically is owned by marvel, sure) writer and did some DC job (a wonder woman two-issue story). But I do not remember her ever working at Marvel proper. Also i mostly remember her from her work in the 2000s, pretty sure she mostly do video work since the 10s. I stopped following Comics in late 2012 so she may be writing again for all i know.
But that's not what disturb me the most. Is she actually bitching that Marvel give a total new comer to the industry (who happen to be queer) her own C-LIST hero series to write?
Like jesus, C-LIST??? How dare they not give a gay poc their main franchise on a silver plater.
What list were Swamp Thing, Sandman and Animal Man in when they were given to already confirmed young talented writers Alan Moore, Neil Gaiman and Grant Morrison in the 80s, so they can prove themselves before getting a bigger title?
Because the industry couldn't give those white men better than C-List when they started working for them but surely if it's a QUEER WOMAN OF COLOR she obviously doesn't deserve to prove herself as a writer.
Those fuckers at Marvel only giving a totally unproven writer a c-list to ruin for 10+ issues, what a bunch of fucking monsters. Protip: next time you select a gay person to write for a gay character make sure she is mildly talented as a comic book writer first (or you know interested in that art because i have the feeling that wasn't really the case beside the paycheck).
I have read America and outside the good quality of the art, the book is baaaaaaaaad. Mostly terrible writing.
But hey that those male fuckers at marvel who gave her a chance that are to blame for her failure to deliver, they should have given her a more prestigious character to ruin.
