Well, since Russell hasn't provided any new content, here's the edit history on his last post...

It originally just had the "Heart Eyes" emojis, and he edited it to add the "Person with folded hands" and "Weary face" emojis. Wonder what that means?

I wish it would show what "activities" he added/removed in the edits. It's just "feeling dazed" now, but originally there was something else...

Is anybody else kind of suspicious of the way he just dropped that tantalizer and then vanished? He left a "haha" reaction on Shannon's comment, but he hasn't responded. I have a feeling that whatever it was, his hopes were dashed... otherwise, with his perpetual optimism, I think he'd be reveling in the attention and eager to say what it was... he announces every job application as if it's a done deal, FFS.

We know Russ probably hinted at being bipolar IRL, but cows tend to be pretty unreliable when it comes to mental illnesses. I put together a check list, and it lines up pretty well.

What I'm wondering is what was the actual final straw that caused him to stop taking meds? Has he ever gone to therapy? He should have.

Bipolar people tend to be not so great at regularly taking meds for a lot of reasons, and he did say that he didn't like how they made him feel. It's actually a reasonable complaint because he was probably put on some atypical antipsychotics due to his severe mania. But even then, that sort of thing can be overcome by cooperating with your psychiatrist, and any reasonable, responsible person who is not too far gone will look at the damage caused by their illness and choose to to put up with their treatment.

I think the core reason why he quit treatment is because he likes how his mania makes him feel. Mania makes people feel exuberant, which is nice after a depressive episode. Even with the manic depression put aside, Russ is by no means a well-adjusted person. Beneath that narcissism is a low self-esteem, which is made apparent with his thin skin, him compensating for something with his disability bullshit, and those faux positive Facebook statuses that are accompanied by several emojis too many. I think he's using his mania to assuage his low self-esteem.
