It’s something Jake has made up almost entirely from whole cloth. No one can find any avidence of anyone accusing him of being “Brazilian Secret Police” but when he has to sperg about being thrown under the bus by Zoe/CON et al. Saying something as outlandish as “accused me of being terrorist Brazilian gestapo” makes it seem he’s just some innocent victim of totally crazy accusations, instead of the truth which is he’s a creepy dude who’s creepy needy behavior and love of the norasphere got him tossed out of Queen Zoe’s court.

The secret Brazilian police thing had something to do with Gabe and the other tankies. As far as I can tell no one accused Jake of it or anything, it’s something he’s invented in his mind since Gabe is Brazilian. I don’t even think he’s had interactions with him/her/it and that specific lie came up after Gabe and Nora fought.
Jake is always inventing elaborate lies and then providing zero evidence for them. Or lying about things that you can easily prove false like his 20 year journalism career.

Jake’s continued fixation on Ganergate and how everything is connected to Gamergate is really weird. It wouldn’t surprise me if most GG people by now have themselves pretty much forgotten about GG.
Does Jake not realize that people online, like people in real life, fixate on a movement or a trend, hang in there until it burns itself out, and then move on?

Gamergate gave his life meaning like nothing else before or since. He thought it was his ticket to a real career, real friends, a real life. He'll never let it go until he finds something else that animates his existence on that level, or he dies, whichever comes first.
