So, Carl wants to shit on Antifa buuuut in an Instagram post someone took a picture with him and he was wearing an antifa pin?

How tall is Carl? He seems like he should be "adult size" but something about him hits my eye like he had child-like proportions. Anyone else see it? It's not just this picture, everything with more than just his upperbody makes him seem like a big, fat 12 year old with a 40 year olds beard.

Also, he got Murdoch'd

This might be me sounding stupid again but is it possible it was shopped?

It just seems so contrary to his FREE SPEECH spiel for the past couple of years no? A group that tries everything to prevent said speech, endorsed by this guy is hard to believe.

God I want this to be true though if it is.

Looking at the image. It doesn’t show any signs of being shopped. There’s always subtle hints, when when done by the most skilled hands, and I don’t really see any here. The Instagram filter wouldn’t be able to alter much of that, so I would say this is probably legitimate.
If you really want to argue against the antifa button, just assume he’s wearing it in jest. That was my first thought when I saw it. He’s having a beer in what looks like some dude’s backyard afterall.

There's also this section where they really go at it here:

this shit was really gay for both of them. jim was trying to be an entrapment wizard while sargon attempted not to say anything entrap-able.

the kraut stuff at the end was borderline interesting if it weren't for that established dynamic of sargon trying not to say anything and jim trying to get sargon to say anything. much ado about nothing, and neither looks any good at the end of it all.

also i almost had to turn it off when louis was patting jim's back and wanted to meet him irl. that was also extremely gay.

Styx being a better defender of liberal democracy than Sargon is amazing because he is not only borderline Alt-right himself but also literally believes in occultism and magic. :story:

He's weird
But that doesn't mean he's dumb.

At this point I think Styx might be the most rational "current events" rant video sperg.

He recorded himself telling kraut that what he's doing is wrong, using sjw tactics, finding information about people instead of debating their arguments

ONLY to reference kiwifarms later and do exactly what he said he shouldn't do in his public video to his audience.

Christ, if your going to morally grandstand in a private call don't turn yourself into a liar with your very public actions.

CoachRedPill is the one who made that scenario come to pass. He lied that Sargon "knew" and was helping Kraut "dox" him (while Gonzalo's "personal information" was on his own patreon and youtube pages)

Citing us isn't hypocritical or doxing anyone when that person is a two-faced snake with no moral compass who already doxed himself.

i agree and i thought jim was retarded for bringing this up at the end of that stream. it only would have been two-faced if sargon played an active role in making crp's info public, which he didn't, as the thread was already up.

The pedantic niggling over ideology was cringeworthy. While Sargon made some gaffes (ie: he thinks Conservatism is Liberalism), MrMetokur lacks a firm grasp of political theory. Then again, he considers himself to be an internet troll and nothing more. He also never pretended to be a "leader" of any movement, so he discontinued TheInternetAristocrat because others were projecting themselves onto him. What was very on point was that MrMetokur accusing Sargon of getting high on his own ego. It's quite obvious Sargon thinks he can influence politicians from his goofy YouTube videos, and MrMetokur accurately points out Sargon greatly overestimates his importance.

I've got little love to lose for Sargon, but I do agree with his point that Jim is really averse to taking a stand for any of the beliefs he may hold. Jim is literally an exceptional individual, he is really good at presenting information and at agitating people until they publicly expose their weaknesses. At the same time, I get the feeling that even if he was up against a reprehensible person; I'm talking child molester multiplied by cancer, he could lose his footing if this person kept his cool and started asking difficult questions back when answers were warranted.

It doesn't help that MrMetokur lacks even a cursory knowledge of political ideology, which was especially obvious when he conflated common group politics with collectivism. Sargon and Louis also accurately pointed out Metokur doesn't really believe in anything, but again, he never pretended to be serving anyone but himself by sharing his wicked sense of humor with the world. He's a troll, and nothing more.

Like you mentioned, it'll be interested to see how a potential confrontation between Metokur and a calm, collected but controversial person would play out. If Jim fails to get a rise out of the other person, he could end up looking stupid.

Yeah, that made me cringe. I’ve respected artists, writers, and actors before, but I never understood the whole wanting to meet them thing. Most people in the lime light arethere because they’re unusual people, so generally they aren’t worth talking to anyway. And internet famous people make even less sense. At least when you say you met someone from Hollywood, the people you told can get an idea of who they are, no one would give a fuck if you said “I met mistermetokur!”

yeah i dont get it either. the only reason i'd care about meeting someone whose content i enjoyed would be to have a beer with them, like mike & jay from rlm, for example, if they were anything like how they are in their videos. that would be cool. for as much as i like his videos, i don't think i would enjoy being around jim very much if he's anything like what he is online. sargon might be good company for a beer.

Even that I think is a bit too much. A lot of content creators play the persona of a guy you can get drinks with, but usually aren’t like that. People who talk like that remind me of those hyper lonely aspies who think that lets players are their friends. They most likely would only humor you at a meet and greet, but not in an actual bar. Just think if you were a almost famous creator with 100k followers. Would you want to be harassed irl by people who probably want little more than to give repeate whatever they liked that you said or ask your opinion on issues you probably don’t care about? Besides, you have to be at least mildly full of yourself to create the content, so why would anyone want to meet you?

I've met him. He's probably like 5'8"-5'10".

I don't know who the guy on the left is, but the comments indicate he's "alt-right," and that the pic was taken in Berkeley. Carl was in Berkeley for Milos "Free Speech Hour," and there was a guy selling Antifa pins. I don't know if he bought it or someone gave it to him, but I assume he's wearing it ironically.

That's something anyone should bring up in subsequent debates with Jim, he's very good at getting other people to sperg out about their beliefs but he himself is not willing to defend anything. I'm sure he's more or less alt-right in his private beliefs since he shared Murdoch Murdoch, but in public he still clings to this apolitical trolling ideology that everyone else abandoned in roughly 2010. The whole situation reminds me of this quote from a while ago about Peter Daou and Verrit.
Emmett Rensin said:
It is simply déclassé to be so earnest. It is undignified, somehow, to have to push a worldview as if the facts did not speak for themselves. It is undignified to have to do politics. A refusal to frame anything as an effort to persuade, a belief that self-evident dominion over measurable reality, a confidence that any sensible person would want to align themselves with the ambitions of the experts on nothing more than the experts profession of their own good faith, all of this was the force that animated the doomed Clinton campaign for president. For all Daou’s pathological identification with the glory of his queen, he has always been after something that Clinton Democrats look down on: the notion that victory in politics requires shamelessness. It requires a willingness to assert a vision for the world no matter how silly and ill-conceived.
Sargon understands this, he knows that a ton of people are going to shit on him no matter how he presents his ideas whereas Jim just isn't willing to commit himself to anything.

Hey, I agree about the Louis part. But you know what was really fucking gay was having Vee try to white knight Sargon during those questions as if Sargon needed the help in answering basic questions

Telling someone they are going to do a video on you somehow is considered a threat of blackmail according too Vee, who was very quick to interrupt Sargon and the rest of the stream when he was being asked questions.

You can't tell me that isn't cringey as fuck too.

lmao he was 'called out' and when he tried to leave Sargon tried to accuse him of running away. He never asserted himself as an expert on political theory.

YOU GOTTA ADMIT THOUGH JIM...
