Well if I'm reading this correctly, Weber is also asking for their legal fees paid for by Maddox- and considering they have bottomless pockets, I'm sure their lawyers are absolutely not cheap.

No, they're not requesting a simple dismissal; in the documents, they're also requesting him to cover the legal costs.

They use the language "costs and expenses" while not mentioning fees directly, but apparently, this can include fees, if I read it right. (I'm more used to seeing the specific word "fees," though, and generally, you should make an actual argument specifically for fees to get awarded them. So they might not actually be seeking fees, since they don't use language like "frivolous" or "vexatious," or do more than hint at the idea that the lawsuit is purely for the sake of harassment. New York has shit SLAPP.)

Costs are usually things like photocopying expenses, filing fees, service of process fees and costs, while "fees" is generally the language for attorney's fees. Also, I'm pretty sure they're using in-house counsel to file the defense, who are already salaried employees.

I might be exceptional, but I interpreted it as "costs and expenses" because Weber must employ a legal team in-house, so instead of fees they would deduct the "cost" of their legal team's salary. Then again I'm just an internet lawyer so what do I know.

So this is the first time I've seen the "Heather" emails. Heather is ether Maddox or Jess, right? How else would he have gotten the emails in the first place?

I think these exhibits are from Weber Shandwick's response. For some reason one of their exhibits is a bunch of us calling Maddox a cuck. Which means some $500/hr fancy attorney for them was reading a thread here where we call Maddox a cuck.

This is another interesting exhibit. It's the e-mail chain where Maddox or his GF pretended to be a reporter from a Conde Nast publication to get Asterios fired. You can tell the lawyer spots it as bullshit immediately. This is Vordrak tactics.

They were pointing out that of all the people Maddox is complaining about, none of them were Asterios and most of them weren't even defendants in the case at all.
