I have yet to see any evidence that it was PandaLee. I've seen a lot of people say they knew someone who was in the chat when she closed the channel, but no evidence.

What Phil said he said: One day ago, I got contacted by someone from a gaming website who’s writing an article about the history of Let’s Plays. They said “hey, Phil, your name came up when it came to the history of Let’s Plays and I’d like to talk to you about it” I responded, I said “I got your email, sure.” When I talked to him on the phone, he said “Phil, when I tweeted you, 15 kids–and I could tell they’re kids, because I checked their Twitter accounts and its’ the most insane thought streams I’ve ever seen in my life–tweeted me about nasty shit about you. He goes “What the fuck is that about? I’ve never in my life tweeted someone and had people jump on me because I tweeted you about being in a news article. Are these kids mentally ill?”

All snark aside, Phil has some real mental issues.

So I think I got a good peg on why Phil no longer enjoys or even dislikes playing games. The man, for last 3-5 years, has dropped all things but gaming. He has no social life, no hobbies, no activities, and even no job that takes him outside of this. So, for day in and day out all you do is play games, and play games, and play games. Not only is the redundancy of the activity ruining the experience, but the exposure really makes you start peeling back the meta of the activity. You stop looking at the images presented to you and eventually see the cycle of gameplay you're staring at for hours a day. Once you stop seeing the game, and just see the cycle of it, it really ruins playing a lot of games; add to the fact that is what you do all day and it's just a shit experience.

I've had three months where I had nothing to do but play games for the most part and it went from a fun experience to being utterly disappointing and dull.

If all you do is play games all day long, it's going to be a miserable life and explains so much into how miserable and whiny Phil is.

There's a reason people tend not to make their hobbies a job. Career maybe, but Let's be real, Phil doesn't have a career in any real sense.

The same goes with passions, which are by definition things you love enough to suffer for. Phil has no passion for gaming either, or anything but that money. He needs that money. To pay his bills. Yes he does.

i'm just curious as to why he moved to Renton, everyone I know who lives on the west coast calls it a complete craphole and people in general seem to slag on it

It is. If you look at the neighboring streets to where DSP lives it just looks very trashy. But the property taxes are cheap at least lol. He legit pays more a month for his HOA fee than he does for property tax.

Living in a gated community probably means you have no choice in the matter. It was a brand new development back in 1999. $330 a month for HoA and taxes seem to be around $3200 (this is all public record info).
