The respecting boundaries thing is pretty cut and dry but the interaction between a married couple with a child seems really off. It gives off a stranger danger vibe.

This is my first post here but I've been lurking for over a year now. I really should've posted earlier when the DrawingWhileBlack hashtag was going around but I go to school with the person that started it.

I don't know them all too well but their art, while not the worst, is your pretty basic Tumblr, SU-esque style. Anyway, this was a zine they made that was actually displayed at my school's Juried Undergrad Exhibition. It clearly wants to make white people angry but I, a white person, just felt it was trying to hard to be edgy and progressive:

Oh dear. This portfolio is kinda sad, so lacking in personality. Nothing stands out. It's as if she took a slice of Tumblr and put it there.
I don't want to shit on the artist but Tumblr does seem to kill creativity

Which is sad because looking over the portfolio I am seeing a ton of potential. Even though everything is pastel the use of color is quite good and the line work is rough but personally I like that.

Oh, Lunarbaboon. Yeah, a few of this guy's comics have just a tinge of SJW-ness, but he mostly just does comics about depression, anxiety, and his family though.. The ones that do have a bit more of that feminist vibe are relatively harmless, he mostly just seems like he's too nice for his own good.

Absolutely. If they'd have to pick just one character to turn into a hamplanet it's invariably the character with the biggest tits, like Yuri there. I assume a lot of these artists are girls who think it's not fair that there are people who can have large breasts without being fat.

Yeah, I don't think their art is necessarily bad. Just kinda generic. I think I've mostly just grown kinda bored with this style

I dunno though. I just spam-read his comics a few nights ago and I recall quite a few comics about him and his wife being completely normal and them supportive of each other. I figure the whole scary wife stick is just the butt of a shitty joke he does every once in a while.

That being said, I still do get that beta-male vibe.
