Maybe if non-sexual/fetish art was more appreciated/welcome in the fandom people wouldn't be rushing to sweep their art and favs under the rug or even delete them.

Well, not everyone can be as lucky as someone like Otto Schmidt (who drew dickgirl porn before getting hired to draw Green Arrow) or Stjepan Stejic (who does BSDM lesbian comic 'Sunstone' while still getting profession work with Image, Top Cow, etc), or even freaking Onta (who did a cover + story for an anthology comic with Image), I suppose.

The politician quit because someone linked to his SoFurry profile. On SoFurry, there's options to fill out fetishes you like, hate, or tolerate. He had rape under "tolerate" which kicked up a shitstorm. His FA is https://www.furaffinity.net/user/mx5madness/ .

ETA: Not going to lie, but always thought it odd everyone focused on that but not his weird doll fetish. If you dig through his FA, you find photos of these old discontinued poodle dolls from the 80's that he collects and draws strange comics of.

I skimmed the list of people on there and it seems to be all over the place though, and not specific to the fandom. Wil Wheaton is on the list, for example, and while I don't disagree with his inclusion I find it strange that he's shown up on a block list that's meant to be for obnoxious furries. There are a ton of familiar names on it otherwise though, many of whom I've seen discussed here on the Farms. They're missing quite a few bad apples whom I'm personally familiar with, however.

Honestly, due to the reactions the mere existence of this list is causing I'm questioning if it was created with the purpose of just pissing of furries on both sides of the spectrum. I actually hope that's the case, because they succeeded and with little effort.

Ha! I remember when @Thornwolfart demanded that there be a vetted/confirmed commissioner list created and that no artist should do commissions for anyone not on the list. About the same time she was tweeting about being afraid of fedora wearing douchebros coming to harass her.

Kind of wish that had list had been created. The drop off in business would have been hilarious and the drama that surely would have ensued when ‘scab’ artists were still drawing for folks not on the list, and the discovery that the fedoras found their way into the list anyways, would have been awesome.

I’m sure Shut Up Westley’s beef with the fandom vanished when he married his sjw girl geek wife. The girl geeks have some weird solidarity with furries, I think.

Agree, not yet conclusive and it sits firmly within the 'speculation, but interesting' category for now. Hence my hesitation to drop it in his thread. Will keep an eye out for more.

EDIT: I am thinking that looking at who is blocked and figuring out if Dionysius is on good terms with them, we can figure out if he really is behind it quickly.
