Said this in @BSV's thread but he is destined to be another Ask the King question for the rest of Phil's "career" just like Leanna and John/Howard. Once or twice a year Phil will sit down and spin a new yarn about Vidar where the only thing that won't change is Phil will somehow make himself the "real" victim of the tale.

PUBG 18/1-18!

Late and due to time constraints will only cover deaths!

1: 2nd (Dam it! Hahahaha i have never been in that situation, i never been in that situation before, when there is no circle.)
2: 30th (That made zero sense! That literally made zero sense! The guy isn't visible and i went to throw a grenade that didnt throw and as i am about to say "what's going on, why isn't throwing" and the next thing im dead)
3: 23rd (By the way, he was spraying so i couldnt get a aim, you saw what happened right, i tried to put the sight on him but i couldnt, i couldnt get it to stop and sit on the guy, thats terrible frame rate!) (He tried to aim infront of the guy and the guy stoped and started shooting and he failed to adjust in time!)
4: 82nd (Ouch, i thought he was upstairs in the other house, i didnt know he was in this house!)
5: 61st (I cant belive i killed him (killed a guy with a S1987 shotgun) dood, i cant fucking belive i killed him wit that stupid gun. How stupid!)
6: 68th (There he was, now i see him, i couldn't see him from my perspective at all. Couldnt see him what so ever from my perspective! That was just bad luck spawning with 10 other people!)
7: 52nd (Oh fucking shit! God dammit! I don't know where that asshole came from but there was not looth, there were no box next to his body!)

Off-game:
He openly admits that he tries to make it hard for people to find out how much money he makes on cheers and bits on streams!
He wont keep a stream log so people can go through it and check how much bits, cheers and tips people have given and knows that you can't go all the way back and check the stream chat!

Twitch is the place to be and he wont leave it for any other service!
Claim Konami, Atlust and others cant touch him on Twitch, they can claim his YT videos, but cant touch his Twitch stream and if they try it wouldnt hold up in court!

So the 'escort' got humiliated. The SOK is dead as ever. Vidar not only got finally kicked, but in a way that allows Phil to duck what would have been a very ugly reckoning. He has a new slave moving in allegedly, and money is pouring in on Twitch. And this all happened pretty much without him lifting a finger. Man, Phil’s cockroach luck really is on a roll these days. I said it before, he has some sort of guardian angel of gout watching over him or a rabbit broke off its golden foot in his fat ass while kicking the crap out of him one day or something. I’m having a hard time thinking of a person upon whom Fortune (in the sense of avoiding almost all consequences for your actions no matter what) smiles upon more, nor a person so utterly ugly and miserable regardless. It really is so miraculous and inexplicable you can’t be annoyed just amazed.

I'd actually argue DSP is one of the most unlucky people around, in no small part by his inability to die. Regarding the detractor groups being gone, this isn't really great for Phil. Phil is at his best when he has an active detractor group to blame stuff on. He can still place the blame on detractors whether or not any exist and his fans will eat it up, but when there's an active detractor saga going on, his paypigs throw tons of money at him. In their eyes, Phil is some plucky underdog hero that needs help and support. These paypigs want to feel like they are his brave and helpful supporting cast fighting against the evil detractors by throwing money at Phil. That's one of many reasons why the falcon escorts were so dumb with their "plan" to bring Phil down. In the end, all it did was give him another detractor to blame, and a crapload more money from his fans wanting to fight said detractor. I think part of the success of his fundraiser has to do with all that craziness.

But anyway, I still don't think Phil is lucky. He's not rolling in money, he's getting just enough financial support to continue spending the majority of his day doing something that he hates and being forced to interact with people that he hates. How does he unwind after yet another day of hating his job? He can't play videogames (except for pay to win mobile games) because his once favorite hobby has been ruined by his "job", which again, just allows him to barely scrape by. He can't go out and see movies because he apparently can't even afford that luxury, whether because of price or not being able to take time off. He can't hang out with friends, because by his own admission he doesn't have any. Family isn't an option either. All he can do is watch Netflix and wrestling late into the evening, alone. I guess he also has the comfort of his "authentic sauce" and even that is betraying him by infecting him with diabetes.

Oh, but sometimes he does get a few days off from the job that he hates/the people he can't stand but has to rely on for financial support. And what does he do during those days? Minimal cleaning around his house, not even enough to clear out an office. If we believe his GF story, than maybe he actually has a couple of good days where he gets to see another person. Otherwise, the only time he sees another human is when he's "exercising" which in DSP's world means going out to the store to buy food. Add onto all of that, but Phil also lives in constant fear and paranoia about detractors confronting him in real life, so even if he does leave his house, I can only imagine how paranoid he is. Actually, I guess that his another hobby of his. He spends a lot of time reading/watching sites that talk about how much he sucks, and how sad his life is.

Seriously, anyone that thinks Phil is lucky should just go back and look at his Thanksgiving day posts. That basically sums up Phil's existence in a nutshell. The truly unlucky thing is that, at one point, Phil was actually making good money from YouTube. If he had stuck with that as a career, he could have been one of those lucky few early YouTubers that actually makes a decent career. Instead, he wasted all that money and plunged himself into debt and his current crappy living situation. To make him even more unlucky, his inability to fail for so long makes it so much harder for him to actually find a different job once he does finally collapse. There's tons of people that try and be like Phil and make it big with YouTube/Twitch or whatever. They usually do it when they are young, waste some time on it, realize that you have to be incredibly lucky to make it a career and then go on to do something else with their future. If Phil had failed years ago, there's a chance he'd be able to transition into some other lifestyle, maybe his Dad or some other family member could have gotten him a basic job and he'd have enough motivation to actually get good at it to stay employed. But now, all he can do is cling to Twitch while failing to pay his debt, and spending the majority of the day playing games that he absolutely hates, putting another nail in the coffin of a hobby that he actually used to enjoy and take pleasure from.
