Meet Dustin Cavanaugh, a budding electronic musician under the name Xsquader and anti-police activist. Dustin's lengthy history of activity online means he needs a thread here.

Some autistic people have a problem with authority. Dustin Cavanaugh of Hagerstown, Maryland is one of them. He also has a short temper and starts fights over the slightest things. And he has an obsession with getting everything on video and often uploading the results to Youtube. Put the three together, and Dustin is often uploading himself making an ass of himself.

This has given Dustin a long history with the law, with court cases against him in North Carolina, Virginia, and Maryland, where he currently resides. This list of charges against him according to public records (search "Dustin Cavanaugh" in either the Maryland records or in the Virginia records, scroll down to "Richmond City Circuit Court") includes but is not limited to:

Failure to obey police orders

Child pornography (he fled North Carolina to evade the CP charges)

He also is a frequent poster on GameFAQs, where he posted under the Xsquader name for many years, mainly on the Current Events social board. His dealings with the moderation of that website is basically the same as his dealings with the police, which has earned him the mockery of his fellow users to the point where he's basically a meme. He was banned in large part for sending lots of legal threats to the people who own GameFAQs, CBS Interactive. This included spamming their email and harassing CBSi people on the phone. See this thread for instance which includes a long string of histrionics as typical during his most autistic moments.

Overall, Dustin is a public nuisance to the people and police officers of Hagerstown or wherever he might reside and a danger to children with his pedophilic tendencies. His videos are a fantastic example of how not to interact with the police. His GameFAQs posting career allows him to take his combative nature from the streets of Hagerstown to a dying video game website and teaches the moderators a lesson in empathizing with the Hagerstown police.

I may have some details wrong, since the rabbit hole goes very deep with this guy due to his massive and lengthy internet presence, and there's people who know this guy way better than I do. This guy has a shit-ton of material. If anyone has stuff to add to this OP I'd love to hear it.

This guy actually came onto my radar half a year ago (r/amibeingdetained is a great resource for discovering sovcit lolcows) and I debated creating a thread myself but didn't get around to it. Is there a term for the sort of para-sovcits like Dustin? The ones who use many sovereign citizen legal arguments and such in encounters with the police, but don't believe in the even crazier aspects like how they're immune to taxes and shit about gold-fringed flags being an admiralty court and all that? Dustin would definitely fall into that category, given that to my knowledge he isn't advocating not paying your taxes and actually holds many liberal views at least going by his Facebook page where his recent posts include support for Bernie Sanders and other progressive Democrats. I don't know how developed or consistent his political views are outside of his hatred of the police and legal system and strong support for marijuana legalization, since his Facebook likes include both Antifa and Alex Jones.

Also, the Hagerstown arrest you mostly just need to watch minutes 10 - 20 or so, that's got most of the headbanging, police takedowns, and autistic screeching.

I'm hoping he resumes his GameFAQs posting soon (his most recent ban inspired me to make this thread), since it's proven in the past IP bans from the GameFAQs administration can't keep him away.

The TC has numerous inaccuracies in his initial document and is advised to correct such. One of note is the claim that I "fled the state" to escape the NC charges. In reality I have had 4 or 5 numerous court appearances and have proven such. It seems unlikely you saw all of this on GameFAQs but did not see that. As a result it is clear that you have an inescapable bias that leads to your opinion being heavily influenced by non-rational thinking. Post the truth all you want, but do not post defamation or lies otherwise. It is not wise.

I am also not a sovereign citizen, I just keep up with the laws and love the Constitution. As every American should.

I am a left-libertarian socialist. Anarcho-socialist. My politics have been consistent for years. I do not have political biases and such can be seen from my posts railing on the left and right establishment figures alike. In the past I have supported Obama, Ron Paul, Rand Paul, and Bernie Sanders, with regards to presidential campaigns. I believe Alex Jones and such on that spectrum (sovereign citizen ideology) are rightists. I gained much disdain for Obama due to his treacherous and warcrime-ridden drone strikes that took out massive amounts of civilian casualties, knowingly even.

Since when is "IP Harvesting" threatening a "Cyber Attack"? IP addresses are public record and harvesting and publishing them are entirely lawful. I have been more than civil throughout various situations and as typical of our common man such kind requests are often met with deaf ears. When someone can't hear you then you have to make more noise. Seems very simple to me. I find it quite interesting people such as yourself are so concerned. Why? Is there something you are hiding? As you can see I am an open book, but you, these other people who seem to find some sort of gratification from these situations, I am concerned about you all as it seems quite likely much of your ridicule is a form of projection. I am not sure why they keep giving jobs to people who aren't from here or don't live here. That is one of the things I am vocal about. They also often hire people for government jobs from WV or PA and these people do not represent the community, nor do they represent the State, they represent another community and another State. I don't believe the ones who drafted our State's constitution intended for so many out of state Government workers. For example, article 4 of MD's Constitution states "Art. 4. That the People of this State have the sole and exclusive right of regulating the internal government and police thereof, as a free, sovereign and independent State. " but most of our government workers are not even people of this State. Do you at least live in Maryland?

Past polls have indeed shown that the majority of the users, at the very least on Current Events, do indeed have some form of autism. I would question how many have above average intelligence, as I myself do, though. I am not sure any poll on that topic would be met with the truth. That being said, who cares? Lots of notable scientists, historians, philosophers, entrepreneurs, etc. are thought to have had autism. It isn't a bad thing, plus, I would assume a lot of the folks who use it in a disparaging manner may happen to have it themselves, which is often the case with many things. Reminds me of how some of the most hateful homophobic bigots are in the closet and actually gay as hell.
