Alas, if only that were true. It blows my mind this chowder-slurping ogre has been on panels at cons.
To be fair, he's been on panels where he goes "comic books confuse me!" for hours to other pretend fans that are angry about a thing from 30+ years ago that takes about two minutes to explain. Conventions are known for being mostly people who want to look trendy and are more concerned if the new Star Wars movie is gonna have black lesbians.

Yeah, Bob has effectively no knowledge of comic books and I would be surprised if acknowledged that DC has been kicking Marvel's ass with Rebirth for the past two years when it comes to sales. I recall that he glibly remarked that the comics do not matter beyond being IP farms for "diverse" characters like Ms. Marvel and Ironheart. (Good call on that, now that Marvel is likely getting the rights to Fantastic Four and X-Men back. There is no reason to bring these characters into the MCU.)

Did Bob sperge about Superman snapping Zod's neck in Man of Steel? If he were as knowledgeable in comic books as he believe he is, then he would know that Superman had killed (a version of) Zod in the comics nearly twenty-five years before the film. TL;DR version of it is that a bunch of Kryptonian criminals from a pocket universe destroyed that universe's version of Earth and murdered of its inhabitants. Superman, being the only representative of the law left, robbed them of their powers with gold kryptonite and proceeded to execute them by exposing them to green kryptonite. Note that this was a much slower and agonizing death than MoS Zod had received and Superman stayed to make that sure he finished the job. Granted, this is from the end of John Bryne's run and I do not care for the post-Crisis on Infinite Earths/pre-Infinite Crisis incarnation, that is what happened. There is a precedent for Superman killing.

Honestly, I would be surprised if Bob knowledge of comics extends past the speculator boom of the early 90s.

Bob is the epitome of the nerdy white guys that black comedians make fun of.
That's odd, considering that the nerdy, white guys black comedians make fun of are the ones that wear well-tailored, proper-fitting business suits, have high-paying jobs, and only have toys, comics, video games, and Star Wars stuff around because they have children who love that stuff (or they work somewhere where they have to test that stuff out before putting it on the market, like Tom Hanks' character on Big).

:offtopic: The example I was talking about where he was at an over 2 hour long panel about "DC is bad and reboots all the time". We don't have any footage of it but it seems to have been based around popular misconceptions found all over the internet. CoIE was the only true reboot resulting in a new universe but old stories certainly still "count" even if you have to reinterpret them. CoIE itself being the perfect example as it still happened but self-contained in the (at the time) singular New Earth. I'm not sure how you'd fill 2 hours with explaining that. :offtopic:

It's like a gathering of people with bad reading comprehensions skills gathered to clap at nonsense they got from Wikipedia and "geeky pop culture" YouTube channels.

Don't you dare besmirch the name of Fred Rogers.

It takes sheer arrogance to talk about a subject you know little to nothing about. It takes Robert "Die Whitey Die" Chipman tier arrogance to do it with three different mediums.

He knows dick about video games, he knows dick about movies, and he's still showing he knows dick about comics. He should probably stick to reviewing food; he certainly packs enough of it away to do so and did autistically know the flavor index of a discontinued cynical cash grab cereal.

And I laugh at him fanboying over Spielburg. I've noticed that directors have a habit of losing their edge when they get older for whatever reasons. That bad idea will probably die alone and unloved like Spielburg's giant movie did.

Wasn't Bob criticizing RPO because it didn't replace all the 80s references with characters going "PEOPLE WERE RACIST AND HOMOPHOBIC IN THE 80S, AND THAT IS BAD"?

Or did he just now learn Spielberg's involved and his Inner Child forcibly grabbed the reins from his Inner Spite?

Anyhow, "Family Guy Cutaway Gags: The Movie" is going to be hot garbage so Bob's STILL WRONG.

Fred Rogers was a kindly man with a friendly philosophy and was a Christian minister. Why would a hateful shitheel like Bob promote someone like that? Do you think Mr. Rogers would call people "Obsolete"? Do you think Mr. Rogers would believe in "stop treating them like people?"

Bob is delusional. He's like the polar opposite to what Fred Rogers represents. Mr. Rogers wouldn't hate Bob, but I get the feeling he might feel less than neighborly toward him.

You're fucking delusional, Bobby.
He likely believes he'd be unhappy with the "right people" therefore validating Bob's own trash...in his head anyways. The problem there is Bob is constantly greeted by people who don't like Trump that absolutely despise his dream dystopian hellhole.

I think the big secret is, Bob will never be happy. He's eternally going to be the child that thinks breaking other people's toys so no one can have fun is the best course of action so everyone has to be miserable.

This.
Bob basically has the mentality of a child but the body of an adult.
Like, not the mind of a child, thats unfair. Just the worldview of one.
More specifically the kind of child who should have had his shit kicked in once or twice.

Just the thought of Bob using Mr. Rogers to validate his views really chaps my ass something fierce.
