UN L'Oreal's first hijab-wearing shampoo model (???) fired after backlash over antisemitic remarks

UK beauty blogger Amena Khan says she's pulling out of a L'Oreal campaign.

In a post on Instagram she says she's stepping down from the campaign "because of the current conversations surrounding it".

Her decision follows the discovery of tweets she wrote in 2014, which some have branded as "anti-Israel".

It comes just days after she told Newsbeat she was delighted to be the first woman in a hijab to be part of a mainstream advert for hair care.

That doesn't sound so radical, truth be told. It's not like she's saying they need to be killed because they are jewish or something.
I doubt that in her and other Muslims' vision of Israel being destroyed all the Jews are given a pension and sent to another country. They would be mass slaughtered with maybe women and female children being kept alive to be raped.

Maybe some muslims do, but she never wrote anything of the sort.

Also the part about orthodox jews opposing the creation of the state of isreal is true-they did oppose that for decades, because they thought that God meant Jews to remain in exile. State of Israel was created by atheist/agnostic/liberal jews on ethnic and national principles, and only later did religion get mixed into all that.

What is the point in wearing a hijab when your face looks like it got shot with a whore gun?
I don't get these bitches, you overline your lips and yet have to cover your hair? No one cares about hair... lips on the other hand...

Neither Christans, nor Muslims, actually care about what is written in Quran/Bible

They don't care about the -intend- beyond a commandment, they take it literally and that calms their conscience

The quran talks about covering hair because beauty care might lead to indecency? ok, let's cover hair and just hair. no need not to wear lipstick, after all quran doesn't mention anything about that, right?

The quran talks about forbidding alcohol because it clouds person's mind? Ok let's forbid alcohol. But not other drugs that have similar effect. After all, it is not explicitly mentioned by quran, so it's allowed.

The prophet said something about forbidding chess because games take person's mind away from the God? Yeah, let's not play chess. But other games are ok-dokey.

The quran forbids % banking? Ok, so let's make up some other type of banking that doesn't lend for %.

The quran tells us to make a seperate tax for the orphan? ok, let's do it. nevermind that orphans aren't a social issue anymore, we must do what the quran told us.

Abrahamic religions are a breeding ground for all sorts of mental gymnastics and hypocrisy, especially nowadays when so many of the commandments written in the HOLY SCRIPTURES WHICH CONTENT MUST NOT BE QUESTIONED are outdated for so many reasons. That's why there are new "liberal" offshots of these faith, basically liberals agree that they disobey the content of these books for the sake of staying true to their spirit, rather than literal commandments.

I remember how one strong muslim PoC took a selfie in front of anti-migrant protestors only to have written shit like "hitler left some jews alive so we can finish them."

It'd be nice to actually know what the tweets were, great reporting, BBC.

Strangely no mention of how shitty palestinians are treated by their "Arab brothers."

You possible could construe "hoping for Israel's defeat" to mean it's completely wiped out. Which might mean a second holocaust. Probably a stretch but that's how I see it.

It's okay to call for the death of all men or the claim white people need to die off. I've seen some PoCs even call out white women on things. The second you say anything against the jews it's time to SHUT IT DOWN.

Ha, no, when was the last time you ever saw SJWs bitching about people not liking jews? It's all about islamophobia, and how everyone who isn't islamic is a nazi, even if that doesn't actually make sense

No, they don't complain about it. Instead they simply ignore or no longer defend the person. Have you seen any of the SJWs suddenly say "it's okay for them to hate the jews"

How can you be a shampoo model when you cover your hair

Doesn't make any sense. It's all for diversity points. An hijab kebab shilling hair care products has very little universal appeal. Plus it's bad for the product itself because you can't see the person's hair. I wish these companies would learn their lesson already. Was this the same company that had the racist troon of color awhile back? You see how that turned out.
