I feel fortunate that I'm not finding as much :autism: art for this fandom as I've seen in this thread. However, if any outsider looked at the trending art for Devilman Crybaby, they'd think Ryo and Akira might actually be legit and not a relationship so abusive that he literally kills his crush after blowing up the fucking planet. It's like they misread the title as "Devilman Gaybaby".

Akira is really fucking bad in this but thats just the authors style I would assume. Sirene is fine tbh shes supposed to be really attractive with big breasts but its a fine rendition and keeps the cores of her look pretty well. meanwhile fucking Ryo wtf is wrong with the shading on this has the troon face and his hands are fucked

I'm finding that Devilman hasn't attracted as many SJWs as Hero Academia, Pop Team Epic, or Houseki no Kuni. I think they're aware of how edgy it is and many of them made somewhat of an effort to avoid it, thankfully.

Overall, the jojo fandom is pretty tame now, most of the SJWs left some time ago. You can still find some pearls even now though.

IIRC Go Nagai and a few of the writers and directors of the adaptations have described it as a tragic love story. It's Akira's love of humanity that allows him to triumph over Amon, and Satan's love of Akira that causes him to feel sadness and remorse for the first time. It's a surprisingly poignant message.

A lot of Tumblrinas complained about how it was problematic that Satan was gay, but if anything, his infatuation with Akira is the one thing that makes him sympathetic.

Gotta say, it's really refreshing to have an intellectual property with gay characters that isn't completely swamped by SJWs.

Man, it's pretty obnoxious when you find someone with talent but then they smudge it with a tinge of social progressiveness. With JoJo you can totally get away with putting them in weird androgynous and femme outfits, but the LGBT slogans put a political spin on it.

Well, there are afro-peruvians (descended from slaves- yes, Latin America did slavery, and strangely enough tumblr never talks about that), as well as dark-skinned / incan/indigenous descendant and white ones (descendant of spanish conquerors and other european immigrants), and asian as well (a lot of japanese immigrants from the 19th century), not to mention the children of interracial relationships which are the mulato/ mestizo crowd, but as usual, I wouldn't be surprised it's the tumblr ideal of "black is better".

In regards to the racebending all of the princesses tumblr, they (100% sure this person is a "she" but don't want to assume genders uwu) try to justify their racebending with "it's for pee oh see representation" and try to argue against creating their own characters with "these stories don't get popular". I also find it extremely ironic how the racebending tumblr admits that they are white and tagged their post with "dear white people" and "white people" for those juicy sjw points.

She claims that we shouldn’t have to make our own POC characters because they’re usually not as popular as the white characters. If that’s the case, then why not create more fan-art of pre-existing POC characters? You know, put the spotlight on them and bring more attention to any good characters that are often sidelined? In a way, race-bending white characters is just continuing to place all of the attention on them. How does she not see the irony in this
