Is it? I often see Tumblrinas making fun of Atheism, usually because they associate it with cringey Reddit neck beards, but beyond praising the living daylights out of Islam and Paganism, I've found that Tumblrinas really don't bring religion up that often.

My only complaint with that redesign is that I think they should have left the tattoo. She looks like a sort of biker girl, so I think the tattoo is appropriate.

They hate Jews cause Israel and Jews are often white-passing and rich and in positions of power, so they naturally see them with contempt.

And Christianity in all forms is evil because reee homophobia, ree sexism, reee colonization of Latin America...What you say is true tho. Islam and witches get treated like fucking pampered children in there. (Hinduism and Shintoism are also well-treated there, but i think they're romanticized in tumblr due to how "Non-white" and "exotic" they are)

The main issue with this tutorial isn't its premise, but the fact that it's a realism tutorial that neglects to mention drawing from life and proportion rules. The girl on the left looks bad not because it's not in sugoi nippon style, but because the proportions are fucked.

Sigh... That's not more realistic, that's just bad and almost condescending.
I'm pretty sure, I hope at least, none follows this kind tutorial in hopes to get better. If they want to improve their drawings of realistic human beings, people should go towards Loomis or Hogarth, for example, there's tons of great artbooks to recommend. The things these draftsmen wrote can't be reduced to some bastard tutorial though, and take more than a couple of minutes and some effort to apply, so I doubt any Tumblrina trying to fit in would ever bother going through them.

The "un-Tumblrized" version looks just like a weird sex doll, lmao. The original's just fine - that's a pretty average body type for a woman.
also lol the nipples(?) edited in. The more minor edits just seem like a guy mad that the character's not his ideal type (God forbid someone has brown eyes).

The original design makes perfect sense though, the girl is a construction worker/engineer class, so it makes sense that her body build is thicker than the other girls in the game. She's meant to be a heavy lifter.
Meanwhile, the soldier class is lean and fit, and the ninja class is thin and wiry. Their body types are based on their jobs, but none of them are fat.
I actually like this chick's design waaay more than Overwatch's Zarya. One, because her hairstyle isn't utterly awful, and two, because her body type is thick and muscular without making her look like a man. For God's sake Zarya's chin is a man chin. At least the Fortnite character looks like a woman.

Hi guise, I'm a tumblr artist, my handle is UWUprogressiveSparkles420 and I've noticed something people do that annoys me when they draw people. So here's a realism tutorial for all you!!

Anime is a bad drawing style because it's too simplistic and too hyper sexual with unrealistic proportions. Gross! With my redrawn version, the addition of things like body hair and normal body weight, as well as some changes to the face made the drawing look just like a real woman!

Adding more detail (even the ugly bits!) gives your art more life. This isn't the only way to draw, all styles valid uwu
Remember guys, all styles are valid, but if you draw your wamen pretty, then it's bad.
