Wasn't that also the one where the monster of the week (who damaged Shirley Henderson's character so irreparably in some science-fictiony way that she had to be put into the paving stone) was designed by some kid who won a contest? If so, you can pretty much see Tennant and Piper cringing their way through every line they are forced to utter.
It's a shame that Levine's such a flipping idiot. The man's considered a major force in the Northern Soul market and history.
For you americans, imagine Motown but made by chronically unemployed depressed people.
Dexy's Midnight Runners, is Northern Soul for example.
Such a shame.

Love and Monsters wasn't that bad of an episode...until the very end where all the charm it had is suddenly sucked into a black hole. Also worth pointing out as well that Love & Monsters is generally regarded as the worst episode from the rebooted era. This is why you shouldn’t let your opinions (read: sperging) get in the way of your creativity, kids.
Also, that blogpost about Torchwood: I saw it was going into criticism and fully expected the author to slate the cast for being too straight/white/male. Instead he listed traits he didn’t want to see from the characters. He actually criticised characterisation and not their appearance. I miss those days.
Updated the OP, here's a preview:
Also, Ian will be DJing 9th of February in Teddington, so mark your calendars for that.

Nah, there's nothing like autism from the original source. And I thought Doctor Who fans on my side of the ocean were bad.
Why go see the Master DJ in a club when you could nip down to Skegness and watch a gay, elderly stroke victim blast out shit 80's tunes to a handful of disappointed families.

I really do feel so sorry for the kid who came up with that monster design, because the concept wasn't terrible, and indeed, nor was the idea to try a Doctor-light episode (albeit more by production necessity than intent); it just got shunted to a terribly written, cheap episode.Love and Monsters wasn't that bad of an episode...until the very end where all the charm it had is suddenly sucked into a black hole.
DJing at Butlins in Skeggy is a bad start to your career, let alone an end to it.
Quite happy to keep doing these, if I can find the time and sources. Ian's a funny cow and we may get a few stories about him from a fellow farmer soonI got some more drama from the archives.

Full context: A while back Ian made fun of an kid seen in an interview with Tom Baker, who turned out to be autistic. Other than the obvious pot/kettle situation, Ian dug himself deeper by making laughable non-apologies and playing the victim when those dang, dirty trolls went after him.
Speaking of which, I found an old thread on Who general cataloguing Levine's response to trolls feeding him false info about lost Doctor Who episodes, it's pretty funny. Not to mention @Prussian Blue provided us with Ian's home address:
Southlands
325 Uxbridge Road
Acton, London
W3 9RA
But I'm sure he can order his own pizzas.
So, it's Motown made by lolcows?
