I didn't think Dobson being forced to use Facebook would be this satisfying. With Twitter he'd just upload his comic and delude himself into thinking that everyone agrees with him except the trolls. With Facebook however, he's forced to see everyone's reactions, and Dobson never learned to just ignore people. We can see him desperately trying to defend himself but since Facebook has no character limit, the critics are offering more nuanced criticisms that Dobbo himself is incapable of thinking of or defending against.

I hope Dobbo doesn't get chased off Facebook, because this is a lot more fun than him using Twitter and just sperging out over nothing.

Agreed. If this world is populated by anthropomorphic sentient animals, the idea of relating to rainbow haired ponies isnt farfetched. For all we know this angry white man was an orphan adopted by ponies, which would also explain why he needs to proclaim that he is a white man. There may have been questions given his unusual upbringing.

Honestly, I watched those American "all black tv shows" in German TV as a teen and 20something, and I had no problem to identify with them, even tho they were black. It was a non issue for me.

I hate how IngSocJus types conflate the punching of Nazis in propaganda comics (and X-men being an allegory for worst-case scenario treatment of either PoC's or teh gheys) with the current definition of "social justice" and how it's not story-immersed, it's not free-flowing and coherent, but literally rammed down the readers' throats in a manner that doesn't make the story interesting and enjoyable and doesn't make the characters you're supposed to be rooting for LIKEABLE.

There's a difference with a comic having a message, being 'about' something, and that comic being nothing BUT being about that message, and it generally comes down to how well written the comic was.
As an offhand example, Yuri on Ice, sports anime about figure skating and romance and the main couple happens to be gay. But the show doesn't fucking beat you over the head with how progressive it's being, it's showing a fucking story about two people in love.

also bear in mind that Dobson has claimed occasionally that he's on (or has been on) prescription meds for depression. Many of those do NOT go well with alcohol and in fact it's one of the warning labels on the bottles (speaking as someone who used to be on similar meds and learned the hard way that even a TINY amount of brandy in burned-off christmas pudding can cause an unpleasant reaction), which probably in part explains his unwillingness to touch it (and then he developed a Fox and the Grapes/Temperance Union of Feminists "Lips that have Touched Liquor Shall Not Touch Ours" mentality after the fact). It's not a far-off stretch to want to be careful and not partake of recreational drugs for fear of the drug interaction.
