Phil has no excuse for being bad at FighterZ, its so easy to do basic combo's and string shit together, for fuck sake i have 200k points i'm in the top 2k in europe and in other fighting games i struggle to do a basic fireball.

As a former pro phil has absolutely no excuse other than his own incompetence. He can try to use lag but the game shows you the frame delay, in most of his matches from launch day he was fighting in 2-5 frames of delay, i recall only one match where it jumped up to 9.

If he thinks matches are near impossible now just wait until he runs across the thousands of Goku Blacks, Goku/Vegeta Blues.

They (Arcsys) made the game as easy as possible for newbies while still letting the game have depth to it.

All special moves are done with quarter circle inputs.

There's autocombos where you can mash X, X, X and the Y, Y, Y.

Fireballs are done by pressing a button.

The game has basic magic series combos ala Marvel VS Capcom.

It's pretty simple. A little too simple to my liking but I still enjoy it.

I honestly don't know how a man who supposedly pays for a separate ~BUSINESS-CLASS INTERNET~ line can cry about bad connections online. I'm not gonna tune into him flailing about in DBFZ, but I can predict that he's absolutely going to piss and moan about not being able to immediately tag out when he's getting his shit kicked in.

"i was holding the tag button and it wouldn't tag out d00d nothing i could do! this game sux!!"

Phils issue is he tries to play reactionary, he doesn't anticipate an opponents actions which is why he gets caught so often.

Even if he could play based on reactions he's been out of the FGC for so long that whatever reactions he had have buggered off, i've seen sloths react quicker.

Another thing is he complains about people who just keep attacking...in a fighting game.

Fuck even then i still fuck up when trying to final flash and end up getting a throw.

Another thing to add to the list of "Stuff that proves Phil has no idea what he's talking about".

He talked about the early days of Youtube (big shock, I know), and how the Angry Video Game Nerd inspired him. The reason why is because apparently AVGN proved that people without "extensive film-making history" can make it by creating "easy-to-produce" videos.

Except James Rolfe (AVGN) has been making films since he was about nine years old, and actually has a degree in it. Also, there's more editing/work put into even the early AVGN episodes, compared to 2017/2018 playthroughs of Phil's.

It's always interesting when Phil talks about those who inspired him to start his YouTube legacy, he's capable of an incredible level of double think where he acknowledges people where doing this before him whilst at the same time coming up with a reason why they've actually been doing it for less time than him, dont count as the first wave of let's players and are less prolific than him (bonus points for throwing in how he's better them and how lucky they are).

12:31 PM his time he'd woken up after resting and was "going back to bed"

but first he had to check how much money he'd made the night before

and has the audacity to claim he relies on streaming (his version of showing up to work) to make money less than 24 hours later.

He really doesn't understand how much people would love to make thousands of dollars a month without going to work.

For some reason, Phil has gotten this retarded idea into his head that most Youtubers either have years of experience creating and editing content, and/or big teams supporting them. It's not true now*, and it sure as shit wasn't true in the early days of Youtube. Even someone like Pewdiepie only has an editor, and, prior to that, he did the editing himself. Incidentally, he did go to school for it, but it's not exactly something that's hard to teach yourself. Frame tracking and shit? Sure. But for the majority of these people, it's just cutting out the boring parts. You could learn the basics in a couple of hours, and end up becoming proficient after a few weeks or months. For most of your videos, you'd have a project file ready with your intro and outro already in there, and you just drop the clip in.

* Except for the people that have years of experience doing it now because they've been doing it for years. Surely we can't expect Phil to compete with these people, though. He's only been doing this for ten years, after all.

Is Phil not capable of playing video games while sick? He doesn't have to be on camera, and he'd even have a new thing to blame anytime something doesn't go his way. Not to mention the sympathy bits.

I'm surprised he didn't show up sick and coughed a few times on the microfone for more pitybux.

He's probably actually sick. He spends 99% of his time alone and in a closed environment. If he went to the grocery store and forgot to wipe the cart handle then yeah, his immune system wouldn't be able to block and there would be literally nothing it could do.
If this asshole could wake up his sick girlfriend to cook dinner for him then his bitch ass can pick up a controller and play some video games for a few hours.

What he's doing requires no effort, and he's already terrible at it when he's "healthy". Being sick is the best excuse he could ask for.

"Seriously ill". Phil, you have a cold. Another example of how insulated from the real world he's become. How does he manage to make streaming video games from home sound like a gruelling, physically taxing job?
