The constant saying he has a degree and works in a law firm is so classic NPD. They are perfectly happy lying to themselves and to anyone who will listen to keep up their pretence of superiority.

My dad has NPD and in a similar vein calls himself a doctor and tells everyone he has a PhD even though he never even went to University. He even had "Dr" put on a credit card, as though that would make it more legit. Shitlips is no different. These are the things he has to keep projecting onto the world to feel like he's a real person. That's the saddest thing.
Since it's illegal to tell people you're a lawyer if you're not, Russ is just hoping people will jump conclusions and think degree+law firm=lawyer.

What makes him think he was stopped because he can't close his mouth? Its like, no matter what happens to him, negative or positive, its automatically because of his disability. Things can't just happen by chance or for other unrelated reasons. Obviously that's not possible.

Does he really think people are thinking "omg look at that guy, his mouth is hanging open, I think he stole something!"? Like literally no one thinks like that.

More than anything, it's likely the creepy, there's-gotta-be-something-wrong-with-that-guy vibe he's giving off that makes people suspicious of him.

That's assuming this isn't just another one of his made-up tales, of course.

He went through self check out. It was probably random screening.
I've worked retail, and I've never been trained to look out for people with their mouths open as potential shoplifters.

man he's really watching this thread tonight then.

mans probably thinks mcdonalds is discriminating against him when the ice cream machine breaks.

You never know, maybe the shop assistant thought he was trying to smuggle something out in his cavernous maw and that's why he couldn't close it.

I could see Rus on an episode of Cops where they think he is hiding drugs in his mouth.

"People claim I'm not disabled enough- whatever that means" says the guy who once claimed there is a hierarchy of discrimination and that disability discrimination is worse than gender discrimination

Oh, now they were talking about your disability? Bullshit, Russ loves getting pity from people. If anyone said something akin to "Look at that guy's slackjawed expression, he must be a thief," he would have stated that at the start. It's so easy to tell when Russ is lying because he just makes up little details as he goes.

Given that he frequently wears the kind of baggy, pleated trousers typically only seen on fat old men, and wears them a couple of sizes too large, I'd suspect him of using them to hide merchandise. I mean, why the fuck else would any young dude wear pants like that?!

Ignoring his odd clothing and deformity, we've seen how Russell acts in the short clips he's gifted us. Jerky movements, heavy breathing, awkward timing in speech and movement, strange inflection and intonation, strange gestures, unawareness of his surroundings, etc. From my teenaged retail days, he's a walking red flag for loss prevention. Hell, even as a fellow odd person, I'd grab my kids and walk in the other direction if I saw someone acting like him regardless of his dress style and face. The dude just sets off every creep-o alarm, especially for people caring for their young.

Edit: I'd argue it's almost instinctual to avoid someone like Russ, again, regardless of his deformity and style of dress. With people like Russ, you just automatically know that boy ain't right.

The way Russhole wears those baggy shapeless pants belted halfway up his chest even at the gym reminds me of this:

Unfortunately the only thing we know about this incident is that it definitely did not happen the way he claims- because that's always the safe assumption.

Maybe the attendent came over because Russ fucked up or the machine got screwy. I don't think loss prevention or anyone else would want to spend time conversing with Russ unless there was a good reason though.

The only reason I say loss prevention is because I've had former loss prevention coworkers who didn't recognize me stop me on my way out because I was dressed like shit and half awake. I wasn't intentionally acting weird, but I did look (and probably smell) strange at that moment. If you act and/or look weird, you tend to get their attention. Grocery stores also tend to be more aware and interact more with customers at self-checkout.

My guess is the attendant asked him if he needed any help or if he had scanned everything okay and he took offense to it. This is assuming anyone even said anything to him.

Translation: I'm adding more bullshit that never happened to my bullshit that never happened.

And what is "more in-depth to the story"? I'm guessing he means "I'm trying to add depth to the story" or "I'm doing some editing to better flesh out the story and add depth". You know, something a real writer would have done before actually publishing the book.

Haha, his whole post can be translated to "Look at me! I'm setting myself on fire once again so people can come from miles to see! I'm Russell Greer! Look at me!". He's getting more comments on that shoplifting post than usual. He needs that validation and he knows how to get it. He needs to stir the pot and accuse others of wrong doing again and again.

Like seemingly all autists, Russ has no imagination or theory of self. For that reason, I have no doubt that Russ did in fact get angry in a supermarket - he'd not post about a supermarket unless he had just been in one or something else had occurred to bring the idea to mind. The rest, however, is pure russentment logic.
