Why does Tumblr have an obsession with vitiligo?

  • Suicide Girl model and America's Next Top Model contestant have it, spread on Tumblr, that's why.

Seems like even when making OCs tumblrinas can't stop putting character expositions here and there and they can't even make them without looking too stereotypical and that's just both lazy and pathetic

tumblr_o1oz74PJwx1udsk4zo1_540.png

there's def something that feels... tumblr-y... abt this style

also the taller character IS tanned sometimes but the colors are so pastel-muddy that its hard to tell whats going on here at all
This is cute and inoffensive but give them a few more years on tumblr and I can see this style turn sukebananaesque.

Plus you have to love the artist's passive-aggressive misogyny and slutshaming. They portray the fangirls who commit the sin of having sexual fantasies involving McCree's cock as shallow, horny, stupid and probably transphobic bitches that are so ~inferior~ to their (apparent) self-insert who is so, like, WOKE and so much morally better.

"How dare these skanks find MY trans cowboy attractive in ways that *I* don't approve of! Shoo shoo, whores! You're not allowed to have MY trans baby!!"

That shirt should read "I <3 Cuntboys" because c'mon, son.

Hey guys this is my OC Shakeesha and bun is Muslim/Latinx, bun is also Libragender so bun use Bun/bunself pronouns! Dont misgender them shit lord!!!! I spent too much time on this

Not ugly enough. Try again.

:powerlevel: Actually, McCree and Hanzo do have a couple interactions, one of which consists of McCree stating "You're pretty handy with that bow." Also not helped by the fact that Matthew Mercer, McCree's VA, has admitted he finds the ship cute and Hanzo's VA is gay. Them being two of the more attractive male characters is only the tip of the iceberg.

You're right though, fangirls don't care about ships making sense, especially if the characters are hot.

This is reason why I hate popular pairing at times because there other pairing ten times more interesting (both interaction/history) but it is overshadow due popular pairing being the hot one with few to none interaction. It is even more funny when those overshadow pairing has POC.

ive noticed that w characters that look conventionally attractive in canon, they try and make em as ugly as possible
but w characters that are MEANT to be unattractive, like rick sanchez for example: a drunk, balding old man. or a character w a very simplistic design like a south park character- they try n make em super hot daddy material

This is why I don't do fanart as much. It is either be a much accurate as a possiblity can in my style or go home.

Or putting sexuality orientation as the most important thing for your oc as you put personality traits with little to none small background of character. Do they have interest, hobbies, and dislikes? No because sexuality orientation is most thing. I'm looking at you Rock and Riot cast page.

Do many of these social-washing techniques apply to furry characters? It's hard to tell when the style looks trendy tumble, but is an animal character.
It's quite hard to empathize the race/culture of an animal character without going into heavy stereotypes, and if you draw fat or gay or trans furries those are already dime a dozen and normalized by the furry fandom. You can do it the Maus way I guess (jews are mouses, blacks are dogs, aryans are cats) but that would imply an actual purpose and story for why it's so in your face and not be a one-off for internet morality points
Read Maus it's very good

It applies to drawing them as humans, though.
