His argument is that bits are different than tips because they can't be refunded (no idea if that's true, I'm not familiar with whether you can or can't do that) and that he will "still read out tips, they just don't pop up on screen" - so now the smaller tippers have to tip more to get the satisfaction of screen attention (everyone knows by now that Phil tends to just hand-wave cheers and tips when he gets annoyed at a game).

Every single troll that gets to Phil makes him bulldoze another one of his fans' houses to erect more walls around his stream safe space.

To be honest you don't need to tip to troll Phil now. With BSV gone, the majority of the chat messages get through now unless it's pure spam. So all you gotta do is talk in chat. During this DBFZ stream that chat was going wild and it REALLY got to him, no tips were needed. He was sperging out big time at the chat because for the first time in a while he got criticism and made fun of, since in the BSV Tyranny days that shit would be banned and deleted before Phil even saw it.

That's the thing with Phil. He just assumes he's going to be amazing and wreck everybody's shit, because it's a fighting game. Like before USF2 for Switch, he commented "So I'm pretty much gonna dominate everyone at the game..." and then proceeded to get bodied by even randoms.

Really shows how massive his ego is. Even tournament players spend a decent amount of time in the lab, but Phil just does the basics, then jumps online and expects to never lose.

I'm not trying to be anal retentive, however tournament players put an enormous amounts of time in the lab. Roughly 8 hours daily. And yes a lot of those guys do not have regular jobs.

You really have to put in the time to git gud. Phil's philosophy of putting maybe a half hour or an hour into training mode and thinking he's ready to play people who know what they're doing is laughable.

Alright saw the footage of him complaining and saying it was delay. What a convoluted way to explain something away. When I first heard about it I thought he was just blaming it on his camera being delayed. It's whatever but it would be a valid excuse.

A stream is a combination of a ton of different media. Just Phil alone, it's streaming the game, webcam and the microphone. On top of that cheers and all that bullshit. Sometimes stuff happens and things delay. But his mess of an explanation doesn't make sense and would never happen.

The Explanation (as I took it)
He purposely desyncs the microphone audio to match the already desynced footage of the webcam so they are both synced with each other but desynced with the game and therefore the stream.

Ok Phil. I'll play. Let's say this is 100% legit, he's telling the truth. HOW Phil? I want you to tell me how you do it. Phil has shown us if it can't be done in 10 seconds or less, it's not worth doing. So you're not going to spend minutes syncing microphones up with out of sync webcams every time you stream. Plus why would you? Wouldn't it have come up before?

Well of course, Phil blows his own fucking lie in record time. Seconds later he makes his character duck over and over and you can clearly hear the button being pressed at the same exact time he is ducking, perfectly synced. I guess it just syncs whenever it wants to Phil.

It's legit. I remember him initially setting up his webcam etc. He used to clap his hamfists together and ask the chat if the sound and the video were in sync. I think he only had to do it once and saved the settings.

In all probability, Phil attended a Catholic high school at some point. Considering the state of public schools in Bridgeport, parents who can afford it do send their children to private schools.

It's interesting to note that Fairfield University, the school where Phil got his business degree, is a Jesuit institution. Jesuits are known as the Marines of the Catholic Church. It's possible that Phil attended Fairfield Preparatory High School, which is located on the campus of the university. Tuition there is nearly $20,000/year, and a middle class family would likely not receive financial aid.

Another Catholic school in the area is Kolbe Cathedral High School in Bridgeport, which has a lesser price tag of nearly $8,000. Either way, private school is a rough expense for a middle class family in America to carry for four years. Many families here complain about spending $5,000 on their child's braces!

Yeah, it's awesome.

There's no way Phil's going to put up with it much longer. Bets on what's going to happen? Sub-only? Raging at moderators? Stop looking at the chat entirely, just reading cheers and tips?

This is the best year.
 
Definitely going on sub only soon. I think some of his mods were getting sick of him yesterday. I remember 1 saying he was talking down to people asking genuine questions which was unnecessary. If he doesn't do it 1 of his mods will for a bit of peace I think.

I know he syncs it up, most people do. It just doesn't make sense. If all his microphone and audio is delayed and not the game, why would you do that? Why would purposely have a delayed webcam? Why wouldn't people have mentioned this? Just calling him out on his lie.

The webcam video is inherently delayed, he doesn't know how to fix that. So what he does is delay the microphone audio too so that it's in sync with the webcam video while the game footage is a bit ahead.
I've seen many broadcasters do this, it's nothing nefarious on his part.
 
Can I get the latest updates on what's been going on with his new "soulmate". Any news on when she's moving in?

AFAIK he hasn't mentioned her in a while. I literally only watch Snort Burnell stuff for evidence though, Phil's raw unedited kahntent is too much for me. He might have mentioned her here or there. I think she's still moving in Valentine's week.

I'm not saying he's being nefarious at all, just doesn't know what he's talking about. I worded it wrong, my apologies. I don't believe he is purposely delaying it. But clearly everything was in sync moments later. Enough in sync to at least to blow his lie.

His most recent hate live vlog talked about her a bit. He's gonna need to take a few days off to get her clothes and a licence. The first thing she has to do is clean out his ex girlfriend's office. Then she will be revealed and will do videos. She really wants to improve her life and plans on doing this be cooking new meals for Phil. She is somehow unable to cook where she lives now. Two more weeks until the big reveal folks? Will it really happen or will a last minute emergency stop her from showing up? Time will tell.

On the one hand I accept this is likely correct
But if he knows the Webcam and audio is out of sync then why try and show us a delayed input like he did recently with SF2, fortnight or when he went through ever button in PUBG to show delay/struggle to find reload.

None of it matters anyway. DBFZ has the same replay functionality that shows inputs just like SFV and Guilty Gear Xrd do. It isn't hard to disprove his bullshit.
