So, they are more concerned about name calling rather than the problem of when this game is gonna be released.
Yep, kids confirmed.

Remember when Eva was complaining about underage kids playing his game, and asks where their parents were in the email vid?
Then, passive-aggressively reads an email from an angry mother on his twitch stream?
Basically, he was asking for stronger parental supervision on kids, yet mocks a parent's email when said parental supervision occurs.

.... fucking hypocrite.

Can a brave soul please summarize that long ass video?
TL;DW, dude first goes over the history of YanDev’s past from Nice Guy Syndrome, to wanting to kill his parents, to his creepy-ass FanFics, to showing his face to others, to powerleveling about him being Homeschooled, etc. Then he goes over about Eva’s Lunar Scythe game and how he got so butthurt and wanted pity points over how he got criticized by his hero, Mike Z; the lead developer of Skullgirls. He then goes over some more past shit, from sperging on 4chan about how they don’t respect him or his game anymore to writing articles on Big Busty Booby vidya girls, *slurp* *slurp.* Then he finally gets to present day Yandere Sim and how all of the models were ripped from the Unity store and how he ripped others’ artwork and shit for his own game. Goes over his spaghetti code and Patreon, then plays some responce videos and messages of people who worked with Alex about their experiences and how much of an insecure, unprofessional asshole he is. Azzman gives his thoughts on YanSim and how the final product is gonna be shit. Rommel then goes over the worst of the YanSim fandom and how spergy and ass-patty it is towards Alex. Then shows some cringey, perverted moments of Alex during his livestreams, i.e. slamming his head in a fit of rage because of Cuphead and getting pervy with how he can expand one of his model’s breasts. Then shows a post going over how he has pedophilic tendancies and (I think) asks for snuff films so he can reference them for Yandere-Chan’s murders. And ends off with how much of a trainwreck Alex is with his game, streams, and his creepy-perverted-selfish-asshole behavior he has.

TL;DR Terrible quality microphone guy goes over perverted weebfag’s past and how terrible he is at making games and slacks off to stream while getting Patreon bux from his autistic fanbase.

Did you really watch that entire video?

Did you really watch that entire video?
It was a long trip, but yes, I watched the entire thing. And if that video ever gets taken down, I’ll see if I can clean up the audio a bit to sound, at least, slightly more pleasable once I mirror it. And if you don’t want me to tamper with it at all, I’ll gladly upload the original video unedited if you ever want it raw.

Honestly, I appreciate this guy putting so much effort into his video, even if it isn't perfect.. the creator clearly visits the farms, so whoever you are, thanks for your hard work! Anyone trying to get the word out about Alex's :autism: are good people in my book.

Honestly, the video was shit, I just couldn't watch it. He kept sperging about his face when there is a plethora of things he's done recently that can be criticized. @princess13456789 , what connections do you have to this channel? Every time you post a video, it's unlisted and on the Rommel channel. Either you're making autistic videos that span over two hours on some dumb weeb making a shit game for his gullible fans or you personally know someone who does.

@Carcinogenesis I'm not going to lie, I couldn't sit through it either.. from what I could tell it was unorganized and incurred repetition..

I just wanted to say I appreciate the sentiment, it would definitely be nice if someone could create something like this that was more focused/shorter too for those who don't have enough time.

I suppose I just wanted to say I appreciate the sentiment, but it would definitely be nice if someone could create something like this that was more focused.
It could've been executed better, juxtaposing his past with his present would've been far more better.

The guy rambles on too much at times tbh; this is most noticeable when he goes on about Alex's (rightfully) shit programming. He did his due diligence, yes, but the pastebin in the OP is just as comprehensive (if a bit dated) and far more concise. It's still nice to have a summary of sorts in a video format because some people are more receptive to that than a pastebin, but the presentation definitely needs some work.

I watched the video and by the content of it and the author's comments, it's more for people who are still YanSim's fans and are curious about why there are so many criticism against their devpai :optimistic:, or people who are bored and decide to watch Alex's retrospective to have a few laughs. There are really few things in this video whom I haven't seen been addressed here, so, there is no need to watch the video if you have been reading this thread.
I appreciate the guy's effort.

Exactly, and I'm glad that people are making videos like this. Going through 950+ pages, while there is far more information than a single video can contain, definitely isn't easy. The more information there is out there, the higher the likelihood of it reaching those who fawn over this creep, the better. I just worry in cases like this, due to the length, people won't have the time to get through it all.. cutting it down in length would allow it greater impact.

Still, I am glad to see how passionate people are becoming!

The video is great for us big critics of Alex to sit back and nod our heads to, but I don't think the community surrounding YanSim and game development in general will get into it.

There are a lot of people here who used to be fans of Alex and Yandere Simulator, so it's not like it's impossible to change minds; But a video like that is just too much information to take in, and doesn't stick to the most important and least refutable topics of Alex's actions.

This post sums up what will probably make the best video to inform fans with. Keep it as short, to the point, and organized as possible. Don't linger on the cringy shit he did as a young adult, or how he slurps at boobies, or anything that seems like we're desperately reaching to find fault. Like many here, I find his slurpy nature to be gross, but that has nothing to do with his programming skills or inability to prioritize correctly.

Here's other topics that I feel could be touched on:
  • Is it okay that he uses/has used uncredited "place holder" assets for his debug build? After all, people are paying him to work on the game because the place holder assets aided in selling us his vision.

  • Has he fulfilled his funding goals? (Anyone got a screenshot of his old $5k goal?)

  • Alex's poor prioritizing of legal issues. Ex: How he didn't want to make a Merchandising Contract with DA user InvaderIka but then goes over with her about how he needs to ask for a certain cut of the profit to protect his brand. He's right about needing to protect his brand, but then why wouldn't he make a Merchandising Contract too? It seems as though he only takes the right legal steps when he's monetarily rewarded right away.

  • Alex's faulty understanding of how him using silhouetted images of other people's art for a monetized video falls into a legal grey area.

  • Alex has money and a huge fan base. If he missuses someone's assets, not only would they probably not be in the financial position to hire lawyer and go to court, but they'll be relentlessly heckled by his fans even if they're in the right. Alex, you have volunteers and you have money, please don't put artists in these weird positions they can't defend themselves in by taking advantage of legal grey areas.
I don't know about you guys, but these are the things that started changing how I felt about Alex, and his poor management of the project while receiving generous funds is what solidified those feelings.

Here is the screen capture of his patreon page back in August 2016 with the old 5k goal. link

Thank you for finding that, @coachmuppet. That could definitely be useful when making the argument that he doesn't follow through with his promises. His back-peddling on his goal conditions also helps to make this case. It's like he's aware that what he did was dishonest and that people might call him out on it. But the damage has already been done, there's no excuse as to why he hasn't followed through within the two years after he had first reached his goal.

His only defense is perhaps that he "did give some money out to volunteers." But are they professional? Did they contribute greatly to the progress of the game? If I were him, I would've made a post letting the Patreons know that the goal has been reached, how many professionals are being paid, what they are making for the game, and if possible, who they are. Am I wrong to think this should've been the obvious way to manage his Patreon?

Also, what's with his wording? "Professional-Level Volunteer." If he's paying them, they're not really volunteering. $1,500 per month is a little over the average minimum wage in the States, so if it's being allotted to one person, he's actually giving them a real job. I'm not saying it means anything good or bad, I just find it odd.
