Also, what's with his wording? "Professional-Level Volunteer." If he's paying them, they're not really volunteering. $1,500 per month is a little over the average minimum wage in the States, so if it's being allotted to one person, he's actually giving them a real job. I'm not saying it means anything good or bad, I just find it odd.
*tinfoil hat on* He uses the word volunteer to make himself feel better. He doesn't need other people's help, they're the ones who offered him help!

Or the usual answer. You know, autism

None of that matters when the video is too boring to sit through for the average joe or the children that make of Alex's base. No one outside of the obsessive sort that'd find more home in DSP's A-logs or in the 'skeptics' community would watch that video.

Is... is he really wasting his time with fucking ganguro style characters? Newsflash Alex, that style died with the 1990's. It'd be like if you had a modern setting in the US where you had skater punks who got in fist fights over Pokemon v. Digimon before going over to play their SEGA Genesis and shit. Another nail in his "realism" excuse, and another point of laughter for Alex's near total lack of knowledge of Japanese culture

He's adding even more shit to the game? Can't he put this into a "Yandere Simulator & Knuckles" DLC?
Still failing to see why these "core features" have to come out before the first rival. Oh right, because adding an actual objective would turn his meme sandbox into an actual video game, and that's obviously not what he's going for.
Let me remind you what is his planned schedule with the game:

1. Finish Osana
2. Start Kickstarter campaign
3. Put the game behind a paywall
4. Finish the game
5. Release the game as a commercial product

and the main issues he has are:
– Patreon will dry out partially when the campaign starts (=less money)
– if the game has too few features at the launch of the campaign, it will be met with skepticism (=less money)
– if the game takes too long to finish after paywalling, all the hype will die out:
– kids won't be able to play with it for free any more and make shitty Youtube videos (=less worshippers)
– smaller Youtubers will no longer cover his game (=less worshippers)
– the modding community might be hit too, if older modders get bored and new ones don't appear due to the paywall (=less worshippers)
– and when if the game finally comes out, worshippers = money
– so, money.

So in order to look as good as possible when launching a campaign and then finish the game as quickly as possible, while not breaking the promise of doing so right after Osana is out and not losing loyal suckers backers on Patreon, he's not releasing her, even if there's very little left to do.

And personally, I would not count Osana dumped into the game as it is now as a proper finished rival. Most game systems are unfinished, broken or simply missing, so he has to finish those first. The main question is: does he have the ability to do so?

Also, anyone wanna guess what the Kickstarter campaign would reach?

"Working" on "core" features I see.

"Don't worry, he doesn't."

So, Alex is giving Musume her own group of people that look similar to her and they're the bullies? Might make sense at first but i still have some complaints.

1-Musume's only good trait is that she had a unique design compared to the generic students, but now that's ruined by having 4 semi-clones following her. Alex doesn't understand that "when everyone is special, no one is".

2-Alex never went to school so he can't comprehend how bullying works , his imagination of a bully is "rich and mean blonde girl", which is vapid even by stereotypical standards. Bullying it's not something that "triggers" when you reach X numerical value, whatever he does it's going to be awful.

3-Previously, vandalizing Kokona's table would happen offscreen, this was interesting because you could assume anyone in the class was the bully, it shows all students have potential to be assholes. Now the nuance is RUINED by showing that only these 5 girls at the school are EVIL.

4-Could this update be a case of Alex discovering a new bimbo fetish and adding it in the game? This whole thing is fucking useless gameplaywise, i don't get how it's supposed to be a "core" feature.

Is it me, or have the new features in the game reaally gone to shit since 2017?

Osana’s events were... pretty stupid, the Student Council has so many problems that I can’t be bothered to list them, and this new Bully thingsmajog looks
It's Alex being stupid and adding whatever comes to his mind instead of actually doing work, it keeps the twelvies at bay and will screech at us because theres new shiny things in the game. These bullies are pointless anyways since it's you that bullies the girl to death with rumors and turning people against the girl, I could've sworn at one point the computer club was a way for Ayano to discreetly bully the girls. He seems to forget that the point of the game is you're supposed to be the evil and disturbed one not a group of girls that look like they blew a box of Crayola.

it's gone to shit ever since eva started working on it lol

So I was looking through the SubReddit to see if anyone was talking about the new "update" today and came across this:

I looked back into Yandere_Ink's previous post and, sure enough:
Jan 8th question.PNG
We're literally into Feb.PNG

(Archive of post anthonyjr343 mentioned)

So now we're into Feb 2018, no Osana, no meaningful updates. Three screenshots of "new" characters, no backstory for Osoro's cape, and Alex saying in his Wordpress that:

Dont even know what to sat.PNG

But I thought the video was supposed to be ready and released today? In the post about his schedule on Reddit he said:
1-2 days.PNG

So if he knows how long it takes to make a video, why is the video going to be possibly late now (it's only the morning of the 1st so it could still be on time)?

He added bullies? And they are somehow not the deliquents, but Musume clones? I thought he was finally going to work on them, because they look like they belong in the 80s, but of course Alex can never go back on a "feature" and improve on it.
The next build is ready (unless I discover something that needs last-minute fixing).
This also makes me wonder, since we know that every new thing he adds makes 50 new bugs appear, does he ever check to see if everything is fine? If he did I don't think there would be a need for three consecutive bug fixing builds right after each new feature.

I dont know what I expected, but Im actually disapppointed. Cant wait to hear their not confirmed rumours, though.

@LucasSomething, as always, has given us very valid points as to why these characters will suck.
Im just gonna say that I actually like how they look so far. At least they all go with one clear theme instead of Student Councils specialsnowflakearmseyesuniformsstockingsacessoriesrumoursnothingmakessense.

Their stiff flying bags are funny.

Some time ago, our favorite Yandere Sim Mythbuster found out YanSim had a bug which Ayano could kidnap any of Student Council bitches:

It's the first myth of the video. It was published on Dec 28th.

Later, on Jan 1st, Alex released an update to fix the bug:
https://yanderedev.wordpress.com/2018/01/01/happy-new-year/
  • "Once again attempted to fix that bug that causes Student Council students to be kidnappable."
So I think that's the way he checks :S
