He's adding even more shit to the game? Can't he put this into a "Yandere Simulator & Knuckles" DLC?
Still failing to see why these "core features" have to come out before the first rival. Oh right, because adding an actual objective would turn his meme sandbox into an actual video game, and that's obviously not what he's going for.
Let me remind you what is his planned schedule with the game:
1. Finish Osana
2. Start Kickstarter campaign
3. Put the game behind a paywall
4. Finish the game
5. Release the game as a commercial product
and the main issues he has are:
– Patreon will dry out partially when the campaign starts (=less money)
– if the game has too few features at the launch of the campaign, it will be met with skepticism (=less money)
– if the game takes too long to finish after paywalling, all the hype will die out:
– kids won't be able to play with it for free any more and make shitty Youtube videos (=less worshippers)
– smaller Youtubers will no longer cover his game (=less worshippers)
– the modding community might be hit too, if older modders get bored and new ones don't appear due to the paywall (=less worshippers)
– and
when if the game finally comes out, worshippers = money
– so, money.
So in order to look as good as possible when launching a campaign and then finish the game as quickly as possible, while not breaking the promise of doing so right after Osana is out and not losing loyal
suckers backers on Patreon, he's not releasing her, even if there's very little left to do.
And personally, I would not count Osana dumped into the game as it is now as a proper finished rival. Most game systems are unfinished, broken or simply missing, so he has to finish those first. The main question is: does he have the ability to do so?
Also, anyone wanna guess what the Kickstarter campaign would reach?
