How will Bob react to seeing the Mario film?

I'm seriously wondering if Bob has reached that plateau of intersectionality and thirst where black dudes don't count; it's black wimmins we need if we are to be sufficiently woke.

I actually think it's more telling that 1980s April, who was pure sex in a yellow jumpsuit, has been replaced with a frumpy, smirking homunculus, regardless of color.

Trust me I grew up around people like Bob and was raised by them. Woke Northeast Liberal Suburbanites who are all for "Black People", except they live in highly segregated near apartheid communities, have never ever actually met or interacted with Black people, would never ever indulge in any entertainment starring or highlighting Black people save perhaps Oprah (who doesn't count) and maybe Will Smith. To them Black people are a cause an. element of the ideology. A flag to wave. They do not however actually grasp or acknowledge Black People as People. Not as the living breathing person living (heaven forbid!) Next door. Certainly not "People Like Us". Bob is a textbook Northeast Liberal Douchenozzle in this regard. It just radiates off him. Smug Woke Progressive who has never actually lived a day in the world with those he claims to champion. And would never willingly choose to do so. "We need more movies with and about Black People!!!" But Bob you're never watched the ones we already have?

It’s especially ironic considering Bob LOVED Get Out, and that movie was satirizing people like you described, which he fits to a T.

So...No comment on Baxter Stockman, Or Bebop from the 2012 show? No? Okay.

Bebop was always a black dude even in the original (he just spent so much more time as the warthog that you'd forget it).

Donatello looks off,

That might be because his shell appears to be non-existent. Like he replaced it with April's flying board.

Pretty sure he has a hateboner for The Dark Knight but I've never been entirely clear on why. I know some Breitbart spergs claimed it was a metaphor for and defense of Bush II policies during the War on Terror, but I can't imagine Bob agreeing with a Breitbart interpretation just out of sheer contrariness.

I've heard other people say that as well, and in their defense I can see it in some ways. The sonar spying device that Batman used to track down the Joker could easily be interpreted as a metaphor for the NSA spying techniques.

I know this one!

The reviewer's name is "john Nolte". Before he went to Brietbart he wrote for a site called "libertas". Bob would actually comment on that site (how I met him) and has references to it on his old blog (can prove later if you want). So yeah, conservatives loved Dark knight and some of Nolan's other films so oof course Bob hate it. (For further irony Razorfist likes to shit on DK so you can only imagine Bob's cognitive dissonce if he found out.)

To them Blacks are a fetish in the religious sense.

New video:

And in his article, I wanna draw attention to this quote:
Blobman said:
Are you surprised Wonder Woman wasn’t nominated for Best Picture?
Not really. I think it had a better shot than a superhero movie has had in a long time based on how well it was received and what it meant as a “zeitgeist movie,” i.e. a big lavish spectacle of feminist-iconography at a moment in time when that felt especially necessary. But it’s not a shock when a movie that loses steam so noticeably in Act 3 isn’t nominated for Best Picture (even though there’ve been “worse” nominees and winners than it in the past.) Sooner or later, one of “these” is going to get in (Black Panther probably has the next best shot coming up) but we’ll see.
Ad he also thinks Get Out will win Best Picture and Best Director. Will he be right? Will he be wrong? He'll probably be wrong.

Because they're watching it for the movie?

But really? Doesn't surprise me that he's anti-auteur theory. All the movies he commits time to talking about are big, expensive, designed-by-committee and focused grouped to give the maximum return on investment. He doesn't have time for personal touches.
Bob prefers committee-designed pabulum that's been pre-digested for him and other children like him.

He is disturbed by things created by a talented individual, because he knows he'll never be one.
He also wrote this article:

WARNING: It's fucking dumb, but you knew that.

These are the new Turtle designs, including Black April, that he was talking about.

Why does April O'Neal have a radioactive ghost bat?
Why is Raph using tonfas instead of sai? Is it because because "Oh no pointy blade weapons think of the children!"? If so why is Leo still using a sword?

Shit nevermind that!
Why is Mikey using a fucking spiked flail?
Why is Don using a mace?

What the fuck even is this?

At least it doesn’t look like the typical Cal Arts crap on tv lately?
The turtles get redesigned so often that I stopped caring years ago. But then again, why would anyone over 12 bother with them anymore? They’re the one of the most overprocessed media franchises ever. I liked them when I was a child, but I haven’t been a child for well over three or four reboots now

That requires them to be human, friendo. They're all Obsolete and don't you dare say I'm an "eugenicist".
For all Bob’s talk about subhumans, can we ever be sure he’s actually human himself and not some life form artificially created to be a megacorporation’s wet dream? He doesn’t talk like a normal human at least...

It WOULD be nice if he was even a *little bit* capable of seeing any worker below the tech-sphere level as an actual human being. That would be super.

Bob's staggering lack of self-awareness is nothing new to this thread, but I still find it hhhhhamazing that he has the brass balls to virtue signal about respecting workers' humanity after spending a year and change shrieking his head off about "the unevolved," "garbage humans," "evolution's leavings," "wasteland ghouls," and even "these ... things." There's being un-self-aware and there's being comatose. Might be a diabetes thing, I dunno.

I'm not even going to bother getting into his bullshit take on Le Memo (although I have a feeling he already had it ready to go before it ever dropped), except to say this: just imagine his reaction if Bush's DOJ had lied to a FISA court to eavesdrop on Obama's transition team. Just imagine.

It's a funny article for all the usual reasons Bob is unintentionally funny (terrible writing, lots of big words that say nothing, a grade schooler understanding of film criticism, inappropriate quotation marks and hyphens, and a lunatic thesis -- here's my longwinded argument on why it's okay to be a studio whore), but let me just drop this line here:

"The cigar-chomping boogeyman of the old time Studio Mogul is long extinct, with even notorious figures like Harvey Weinstein looking like pussycats compared to their “Golden Age” predecessors."

That aged well.

Remember waaaaaay back on page 947 when I said this:

What's even funnier is that he does Bob's schtick (talking fast & critique) only he doesn't put himself in front of the camera, and is very coherent, and closes out the video with a hilarious punchline.

So way to go Bob, you broke the rule of MST3k - "Never put a better movie in the middle of your crappy one."
?

So, like Bob and BvS, this guy also did a 3 part video series on SW: TLJ. Like Bob, each part is nearly 2 hours.

UNLIKE Bob, this guy actually went looking for what other people were actually saying and addresses the strongest arguments he can find. His voice is also much less harsh, the video isn't monetized so he won't get hosed by Disney, and he will even play a SW video game while talking so we have proof of him actually being a video gamer.

AND almost as a final middle finger to Bob, around the 1 hr mark in part 3 here, he flat out makes the argument that someone could grab ANY theme and apply it to TLJ regardless of what the movie or writer intended.

So congrats, MauLer. You are now my pick for the anti-Bob. When I say "Kill all humans (except karen gillan)" I'll start adding "and mauler" to the end. (oh and I was a bit angry about Bob sullying her by mentioning her on twitter)

(other 2 parts recommended for those who hate TLJ)

EDIT: Hah! I finally made it to the 1:30 mark and he does specifically call out moviebob as one of the ones defending the train wreck of a movie.

EDIT 2: And at the very, VERY end, he takes a shot at Dan Olson. /salute

Well, first off she's almost unrecognizable in the GOTG films (seriously, I didn't realize that was her) secondly, she's sharing screen time in those movies with other big name actors, she's probably the least known actor of the main 4 in jumanji, and is at best a minor character in GOTG.

Talking about the Nunes Memo.
nunesmemo-jpg.373941
nunesmemo0-jpg.373942

While I agree the memo was hyped up for what ended up being "they did used a bs dossier to keep an investigation open" That still is a bit unethical though, at the end of the day, the FBI did an unethical thing to keep an investigation going. Whatever your feelings on that are, thats what the memo alleges. Personally, I take it as "government agency did something that might be considered unethical? Must be a day that ends in y" but your mileage might vary.

"I'm jealous of Toddintheshadows" might be one of the saddest things I've read from him.
toddanaology-jpg.373946

He also got to be cucked by Lindsay, I'm sure Bob is jealous of that too.

Uh-oh Bob can't refute the point, you know what that means? Ad Hominem time!

"But when I wanna keep people in line..."
workerdignity-jpg.373947

Oh come on Bob, we all know you're jacking off at the idea of putting these things on all the "inferiors" you so hate.

I think that was by far the dumbest way to talk about the value of producers in general, and the overvaluing of directors. Do I believe directors can be overvalued. Sure, are they often? No, even in his "how it is supposed to be done" vision, producers find a director who can make their vision come to life. Auteurism isn't perfect, but it has led to a fuckton of brilliant movies and saying we need to get back to the more producer committee driven movie style is bullshit, especially since the industry could easily support both. Oh and nice bitching on Tim Burton, Kevin Smith, and Robert Rodriguez, have they had some bombs, yeah, but there is a reason those are some of the most well known directors in the world, their hits, are fucking amazing, and were the result of them using their freedom as a director to do amazing work. And his comparison, Joe Johnston, Anton Fuqua, and Kathryn Bigelow all produced some bombs in their time (not to say they didn't produce some massive hits too, but his argument seems to be that they all had much better works overall).
