He's using the same setup as in the condo. He hasn't spent a dime on improving his "business".

All that space in the house and he's using a shitty pc desk.

I think the funniest thing about this is that he waited until after he got his "free shit" to announce the partnership so that way even if he got fucked over again he'd get to keep it. Apparently getting free stuff is the only thing he cares about out of this which is why he was so butthurt over OPseat

Phil 'needs' this chair. Not for his back nor for 'gaming', but to pad his ego after the OPSeat fiasco. I predict another speedrun + DSP Rant after Phil finds out he's being 'honey dicked' to sell marked up chairs folks can buy direct for $80...and doesn't see a penny after the hawkers hitch up their wagons and move on under a new name.

Now that we're onto the second "gaming chair" saga of January 2018 I feel that I can truly increase my autism when it comes to "gaming chairs":

I agree about the ego part, however the markup part isn't anything new or that groundbreaking. A huge number of websites and products operate around the exact same business model. "gamer chairs" are a fairly niche product if you're looking at scale, so their affiliate/discount/sponsorship practices are actually self-serving for both the chair companies and the customers (customers meaning people who want a decent, comfortable office chair without paying $1000).

So if you didn't have affiliate links/sponsorships then you probably wouldn't have gaming chairs to begin with because there's no market for them. Getting physical chairs in physical stores is hugely expensive (especially on a country-wide or international scale). Unless IKEA or someone came along and decided to make a chair that catered to gamers (meaning people who want a chair which offers adjustability as well as comfort).

The office chair market simply doesn't cater to teenagers and younger people, they sell their chairs to startup companies and CEOs who want an armrest with a decent cocaine compartment. The hardest thing to find in an office chair is decent adjustable armrests. If you can't adjust the armrests it can fuck you over.

If you want a high quality office chair you're looking at paying $500-$1000 or more but you can get a pretty decent one for $100-400 instead.

There's no real reason for office chairs to be so fucking astronomically expensive except that the companies that make the better ones know that they're selling to Fortune 500 companies so the prices can be as exceptional as they want them to be.

For me, I have a DXracer chair and previously I had some leather office chair I got because someone else didn't want it anymore. I've had other chairs from IKEA and other companies (nothing in the $500+ region though) and the DXRacer chair (despite its absolutely horrible branding) is actually pretty fucking good for what it costs.

If you read a lot of threads about "gaming chairs" most people agree that they're pretty good value for money and pretty comfortable (horrible branding aside).

If you want to spend more money than a "gaming chair" (meaning a chair with adjustable armpads and decent options for height/angle) a lot of people suggest Herman Miller:

That's right, the base model, with no adjustable lumbar support, no tilt limiter, no adjustable arms is $780.

If you want to add in shit like adjustable arms, it comes to $1,128. I'm sure that "gaming chairs" probably start to break after 1-2 years of use, but we're talking a difference in pricing of $700+

Its amazing that DSP, despite having to spend so much time on his computer has never invested in a decent chair though, and would rather wait to get one for free. His "loveseat" (as I've posted about before) has to be extremely bad for his posture/back to begin with. No person working in an office or using a computer for extended periods of time would ever use a fucking sofa to sit on (unless they had it positioned quite differently than DSP).

Everyone is assuming Phil got this chair for free. Is it possible that Phil bought this chair and coaxed spoogeseats to let him get a discount code? Someone already mentioned you get the same discount by going to their site. Would you put it past Phil to buy a chair to spite the haters and show his fans how wrong opseats was for being idiots.

Also spawn seats is a pretty good name since the chair will soon be covered in Phil's semen.

"Uhh, some new sponsorship. . .that I have received, this time it's actually legit. It's actually legit sponsorship, it's not some dumbfuck company who doesn't know what the fuck they are doing being completely unprofessional and wasting my time; it's actually a company that knows what they're doing!" -Phil Burnell's statement to begin SeatGate 2.

DSP Tries It: Eating His Own Words in Less Than 24 Hours (after building a chair with his penis!)
Will he talk about his business/finance degree? Will he call his fans 'dumbfucks'? Is everything 'the detractor's' fault? How far behind what's happening will he be? Will the mystery disease be revealed today? Will he ever put on his glasses, or will he just keep shouting 'Magic!' at graphical renderings of computer code?
Find out today on the next exciting episode of 'DSP Livestreams a Narcissistic Meltdown and Uploads it to YouTube for 10¢ Ad Revenue!'

What a minute, did DSP fake having a sponsorship or is the company that he has a sponsorship with just slap their logo on a generic gaming chair and jack the price up?

Spawn Seats is too lazy to slap their logo on the Giantex seat. They literally sent him a Giantex chair and said it was their seat. In the words of Phil “this company knows what they are doing”. Lol!

I know this is teetering on the edge of absolute paranoia, but why exactly is Phil the first sponsored guy to these people who just made this Twitter account in January?

There's something really weird about that. Add to this the fact that the chairs themselves are obviously just resold cheaper ones, this stinks of a conjob directed specifically at Phil and his fans.

All a chair needs to be is comfortable to me. It doesn't need to be some expensive gaming chair for me to be happy.

If you're using your computer all day long and especially if you use it to make money, then its fairly reasonable to buy something that is good and the long term risks can be really bad.

The reason why companies spend thousands on chairs for their offices is that people that sit on computers/consoles all day long are prone to stuff like RSI, CTS, pinched nerves and a bunch of other shit. If your employees get that kind of shit because their chairs are bad then you lose money.

Chairgate 1 happened Jan 23rd. Shipping for an item like this (as shown on the Amazon screencap) is 7 to 10 days. Chair shows up Feb 3rd, 11 days after opseats drops him. I propose the idea that he bought the chair the same day.

This company is not likely making much money at the moment seeing as they aren't but a couple months old. How likely is it that they contacted Phil directly after he got released from opseats?

My theory: They don't care about Phil's reputation because he is not a paid spokesman for the company. He is just a customer.

Looks like they're quite the entrepreneurs...
The website gives a mobile number which points to a "Crysis TV LLC"

Apparently crysis.tv was a YouTube partnership company at some stage:

(for the record, not shitting on them for having ambitions and making their own businesses/companies, just doing da research)

How Can We Improve Our Website To Increase Conversions (E-commerce) (self.Entrepreneur)

submitted 25 days ago by NicholasKing

So we launched SpawnSeats on January 1st. We've been using Google Ads to get traffic, and we're seeing about a 2% conversion rate. We are looking for ways that we can optimize our website to get this to 4%+. Tear us apart. This isn't our first rodeo, and we are used to the harsh feedback.

Landing Page: https://www.spawnseats.com/?v=

Thank you all in advance! We really appreciate it.

Well like I said the only thing I need is for it to be comfortable to sit in for long periods of time, and good enough quality that you don't have to worry about it breaking. If I can get that from a cheap chair then there's no reason for me to spend 200 bucks or more on one.

I've had 60 dollar chairs that do the job just fine.

This sounds like one of those desperation marriages where both the people involved are so determined to have any sort of companionship, they dive on the first person they see (or the first rebound they catch, in Phil's case).

New, practically unheard of company is not bothered by Phil's negativity because they just want someone to say they're great and net sales. And Phil just wants to say that he's sponsored to make the first sponsorship debacle go away or to make it seem like it doesn't matter.

Like I said, it reeks of one of those situations where both parties settle for the first one they saw because they know they can't get any better/are sore over the previous one. Just sad, really.
