It doesn’t have any sort of effect on testosterone in the body, and the most it can do is provide you an insufficient amount of estrogen that barely effects your physiology. There’s been some hypothesis about whether or not soy can help you prevent heart disease, but even THAT is starting to come out as false and over-exaggerated. Soy has very little concrete positive heath effects and what little it can do is counteracted by how shitty it tastes and how expensive it is.

According to him, using shields isn't the "right" or "fun" way to play the Souls games and Bloodborne having a shield that had an item description stating how useless it was is FS admitting shields were a mistake in general for the series.
