And don't forget fella's, she WANTS to clean. She WANTS to cook. She WANTS to do all the chores. Phil literally said all this.
I don't know what to believe.
He has simultaneously made her out to be this old fashion, 1950's "take care of your man" maid AND an independent, career focused, gamer girl.
It's not possible for it to be both. If it is I hope he has fun playing that losing game, where she ends up with half his shit. Whatever that even amounts to. lol
Been on the sidelines, taking in this whole mess, but it's sounding more and more like a pairing of convenience than any sort of 'love'.
His pigroach antennae twitching, DSP picked up on a girl, down on her luck, seemingly in very dire straits. Maybe she has a casual interest in gaming or creating video content--whatever. Maybe she reached out to DSP for advice or guidance or something more. Maybe DSP slid into dem DMs. But, one thing's for sure--there is not a company in this current year that will transfer some entry-level employee across the country/internationally to continue whatever sub-$40k work she's into. Soulmaid seems to have little in the way of material possessions or is otherwise willing to abandon what small possessions she has.
What would bring a person to move their life so completely and yet, have no means to work out the logistics of it without aid from another? Someone needing a way out--and badly. DSP's got a big, empty adult house:
Why not come live with me? he says.
I have a spare room. Never mind why.
DSP's reputation precedes him and there's no way this person hasn't not Googled him before hitching her horse to goutbutt's wagon. But, she's so damned desperate that it doesn't matter. She needs a place to stay
now. There will be boundaries, of course. She won't really be his girlfriend. It's just a bit of play until she's back on her feet. Until she's put enough distance between whatever it is that she's fleeing from. She'll need some things first--shit's really dicey and it's dangerous to dare try to retrieve anything from her hovel/trap house/asylum/preschool.
I've got just the idea, DSP thinks.
No, I don't think DSP's manipulating her. I think both parties are getting exactly what they want from each other--Phil has her to give him regular meals and the occasional three minutes of comfort; soulmaid has a roof over her head and an obligation-free Welcome to Renton starter pack. She only needs to fend off his innocuous, but persistent advances from time to time. Because of the implication.
