Social Justice Warriors - Now With Less Feminism Sperging

This article is dated 2006.

Surely we could afford to be up-to-date?

Jarome Iginla won two gold medals with Canada (2002 and 2010) and had the assist on Sidney Crosby's "Golden Goal" at the 2010 Winter Olympics. (2002 made him the first black man ever to win a gold medal)

He's also won a World Championship, so if he ever wins the Stanley Cup, he'll be a member of the Triple Gold Club. (I hope he does -- he's supposed to be a super nice guy, and he's an awesome player)

Contrary to popular belief, there's actually a growing number of minority players in hockey. (It's just that most people don't pay attention, since most of them aren't Americans) It's a few years out of date, but there's a really cool documentary out there called "Soul On Ice", that I totally reccomend to any hockey fan.

Watch an ENTIRE documentary? Being a fan of something? I think you might be asking a little too much from our dear SJWs
I thinks it's been argued that people who resist "progress" (read: SJW nonsense) are scared of change.

I don't think it works that way. When people see what's marketed as "progress" as insane or a moral outrage (for example: pedo acceptance), they're going to resist it as such.
Exactly. Also, change for the sake of change is a shit idea.

Muh reparashuns! A petition has been started, demanding Disney and Marvel hand 25% of the profits from Black Panther to the "black community". Not charities or anything. Just black people in general, somehow.

Do we have a thread on GoodReads or anything? I checked the I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream page and found this.

What annoys me about this is that the story is undeniably misogynistic, with its sole female character basically being a sex toy, but I'm pretty sure Ellison wrote it specifically to be disturbing. The whole story is supposed to be intense and uncomfortable, and considering that this person feels offended by it, then yes it succeeds. Now it doesn't mean you have to like it, but if you're reading a story called I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream, then you better know what you're getting in to. The fact that the reviewer is trans also says everything.

Sad part is that there's a couple other reviews like it.

"Because a story has rape in it, it automatically makes it bad, male propaganda or something"
How much has she regressed in only two years? How ironic is it to call Ellison's views backwards when she wrote this steaming pile of mental gymnastics?
Come on. This book doesn't put that theme randomly in there, it's one of the few things you can read that has rape in it not solely for the edgy shock factor, for fuck's sake.

On the bright side, there are some comments that are pointing out how terrible the review is. The reviewer also ends up being a douche by saying "look at all the male tears" despite the fact they sounded like the IHNMAIMS was terrible because of how one character is treated and how Harlan Ellison is a terrible person.

tl;dr reviewer is unable to separate art from the artist.

The Huffington Post wrote an article on a petition with just 600 signatures.

I hope it gains tens of thousands of signatures. That way Disney can feel the pocket book burn or face SJW backlash.

Yes, because threatening assault is a perfectly reasonable reaction to something you could have responded to with "no, sorry".

& note how the only description given is that it was a white woman... no note if she was disabled, elderly, pregnant etc... all legitimate reasons to ask someone for a seat ...
