OK, I've had a think about this one:

:powerlevel: If the speculation is true and she's been/was in Japan (and judging on her likes/game catalogue and general weeb nature, there's truth in it), it's very likely she was one of those assistant learning teachers with a language exchange program. It's contract-based and heavily contingent upon performance/need. If her contract lapsed and/or she was being relocated/terminated, it's possible that the agency she was part of may indeed have been able to find an alternate stateside. It would explain the complete lack of furniture as well as most apartments come fully furnished. It's a cush job and one in which if you're lazy/NEET as fuck, can turn into a career of sorts--drive out to the countryside, teach some Chinese brats, collect a paycheque. EZ.

This is just me trying to piece together this web DSP's spun. If you're adventurous enough and think this theory has legs, feel free to Google ESL schools in his area.

EDIT: would also account for why she wouldn't have an updated license, if she's been out of the country for long. Or why her wardrobe would be so sparse.

I have a feeling Phil will end up leaking a lot more details regarding their situation and how they met. Regarding all the stuff Phil said about her not being comfortable being on camera and what not, it sounds like Phil was lying. If she's streaming and has a YouTube channel, I can't imagine she'd be camera shy. Maybe she was just worried about being associated with Phil but changed her tune now that they're living together. Or who knows, maybe DSP was just lying for the sake of lying. It's still a little weird to me that he made it out to sound like she doesn't have any real possessions and they'll have to do all this shopping to move her in. That definitely painted the image of someone younger that relied solely on their parents for income. Maybe they were worried about bugged moving mechanics and figured it would just be easier to buy a bunch of stuff there? Seems like it would fall in line with Phil's usual spending mentality.

Imagine if SoK was still around we'd be having our 10 hour podcast right now (Probably our 13th this month with all the DSP stuff going on) and we'd know Kat's entire ancestry by now.

Although for DSP it isn't a good idea to say "Kat has arrived!" like she's a real doll in the mail or something. And I also hope the first thing they did was pic for instagram cause that's tacky but knowing DSP it is the first thing.

Phil said this thinking it would prevent people from looking for her. "Oh don't even bother she's not on the internet dood" meanwhile she has YouTube, Twitter, Twitch and Instagram like any normal gamer grill does.

It's weird, but looking at her stream she didn't seem to have much. She probably just sent over her clothes and computer, leaving the couch and whatever else behind because it was too expensive and Phil already has a house full of furniture. Makes sense they went to IKEA back in December, to finish up her gaming room or whatever it's supposed to be. Works for Phil since he gets to satisfy his spending habits and gets a few brownie points from the gf for buying her stuff she needs.

She's definitely got crazy eyes. If she really did see all that Phil has said about her, the "maid" stuff, and is still with him? Considering her appearance, age, and the seeming lack of ulterior motive? Well it's all fun and games until she needles the condoms/"forgets" to take her birth control.

No Feb 10th single-match session with godmode stats to be found. Really made me think.

EDIT: unfortunately this isn't as conclusive as I thought it would be. The other two appear to have their session histories set to private, presumably to guard against exactly the kind of stalking I'm doing right now.

Either he used a different name that his gf has or he didn't at all and lied. Even if he did he'd be playing against people at Kats level which looks pretty low/new and he thought he was a god among newbies
