How does he have so many subs?

his channel has been around forever

he got a ton of subs during the early years but if you notice, his views are very low for a channel with that many subs, something common with older channels. i'm sure a ton of people stopped watching once they realized how incompetent he was.

and of course you get the people impressed by the dumbest shit who are the ones keeping his channel going

It's quite simple, really. He cranks the heat up too high to "make it cook faster", the outside starts burning, he takes it off because it's "done", and the inside of course hasn't had enough exposure to the heat yet.

You might expect someone who runs a cooking show to have at least a basic knowledge of oven logic, and yet here we are.

That can probably be pinned down to the nature of Youtube in general. There's nobody higher up the production ladder than him to tell him "Hey, maybe the viewers won't like getting salmonella every time they follow your directions!", which leaves only the comments to tell him how he's screwing it up. It's a pretty common mindset, especially among folks like Jack, that any comments giving you anything besides praise are "haters" that should be ignored. At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if he keeps over/undercooking everything just to spite everyone telling him he's doing it wrong.

He also hasn't seemed to have gotten the memo about Teflon. He oiled the bottoms of those onions like he was afraid they were gonna stick (if it was a flavor thing you'd imagine that'd go on the top so it soaks on) and then was amazed when he could just wipe it clean. This shit is just flabbergasting sometimes.
