DarksydePhil / TheyCallMeDSP / Phil Burnell - General Discussion

I watched a few TIHYDPs in the last days, currently of Super Mario Sunshine, and I think I found a conclusion for our beloved DarkSaltPhil. There may be a game which could let him look like a real pro gamer. There is even enough room for forcefully cheating which is great because Phil may find it too difficult at the beginning:

- Part falls from the table: "Oh my gad, I had a blahk here, dood! Stupid manufacturers!"

- "Chat says the red one fits in the rectangular hole... But there are two red blocks! How should I know which one is the right one?! Ackackackack. Stupid troll."

I really do think when the allure(?) of him raging during these fighting games dies down or the kids go on February break, and his view numbers dip to sub 300, we'll see the desperate Phil again. The fact he thinks he has almost 1000 people watching his DragonBall Z stream is because "..people want to see me expose the shit mechanics of the game.." is him reaching. 80 percent want to see him get bodied and rage, the remaining number are paying idiots.

Phil: "I hadn't pressed [Button] but he still attacked and now I get punished and my character dies. Unearned. Completely unearned".

Mmh~ sodium. Of course it's earned. Good players spot gaps in your playstyle and exploit it.
And now he gets trolled by chibi-avatars. HA!
And now the game is "so bad" he has no more interest in playing online fighting games! DBFZ killed it! HA HA!

But of course he still plays it although it burned his house, poisoned the fields and flies on a broom through the night.

Edit:

"People in the chat are asking me if I play PUBG because they're bored too"

I followed the chat for a while and searched for any comment that resembles that. Nobody said that. People said something like: "He hates PUBG so why does he play it?!" and "Fortnite is better than PUBG but both games are boring af".

Edit2:

This riveting commentary makes me so hyped. He truly knows how to sell a personalizZZzzz

His fighting game playthroughs follow the exact same pattern:

-He does alright when the game is brand new and people are still learning to play
-The matchmaking systems in these games match him with people new to fighting games or still unfamiliar with the game's mechanics, so he can cheese them out and be a massive scrub and still win
-This gives Phil a false sense of superiority and smugness that he is the best in the game
-Once the game has been out a week or more, the good players show up and the average players have learned how to avoid/punish the easy attacks
-This is where he starts getting wrecked
-This is also where he will choose the beginner's bracket and never leave it for the duration of his playthrough, if given the chance by the game's matchmaking system
-Phil rages once everyone else has learned to play the game, while he languishes because he's too fucking dumb and stubborn to actually learn
-Phil rage quits the game and calls it shitty, casual, the developers don't know what they're doing, everyone playing it is a dumb idiot scrub, you're fucking stupid if you like the game, etc.

Well what other fighting games are there, Phil???? They're all shit according to you. I can't wait until he plays sf anniversary, the salt levels are going to be insane.

I'd actually love to see him try a Super Turbo cabinet again against other people, but he'd chicken out before he could John since it would hit his delusions too hard and it'd mean he'd have to deal with people.

But seriously, when he buys that 4k TV using his idiot fans' money, I'll laugh when he still uses lag as an excuse.

I can't be bothered to find the videos. But back in 2010/2011 Howard had a ST cabinet set up they used to play. DSP would whine about the controls even on that machine.

Played against Cloud 850 (who also streamed on twitch and was laughing his ass off) and got completely bodied including juggles and giant combos, and of course Phil didn't demand a rematch. One and done.

Is there a clip? Watching Phil get his shit annihilated in fighters is nirvana.

Here are the facts:

Connections on PS4 are iffy from what I've been told. But that's relating to Ring Matches (basically lobbies where you can play friends). I have been told that connections range around 10 frame delay online for PS4 as opposed to 2-4 frames for PC. Which is a pretty significant difference.

However, in the matches I've seen with Phil's horrible gameplay the frame of delay appears to be around the same as PC. I would chalk up a lot of the bad connections people are getting on console to people on WiFi.

Phil COULD play the game on PC where there isn't much in the way of issues. He can't use the excuse that he can't get it to run on his PC because (1) the game can run on a toaster and (2) he now has his GF's beastly PC to play games on.
