SAN FRANCISCO — A former Google engineer is suing the Internet giant, claiming he was fired for pushing back against racism and sexism in the company's internal employee forums.

In the lawsuit filed in San Francisco Superior Court, Tim Chevalier, a site reliability engineer, says he was let go in November 2017 for defending women, people of color and LGBTQ employees from attacks and for championing transgender and disabled rights on Google's message boards.

Their personal information and comments expressed in internal company forums have been leaked to the public and published on far-right websites, leading to mistreatment by online vigilantes. What's more, they say they've been subjected to doxing on 4Chan and Kiwi Farms after screenshots were included in the 161-page lawsuit Damore filed in January.

Is Google peak centrism?

At this rate, I assume the people who work high up at Google and pay for things like high class hookers, A-grade narcotics and impoverished people to engage in bloodsports for their own entertainment must have a "special access internal Google forum" that they refresh furiously each time they fire another employee:

This is by far the most asinine article I’ve ever read. Let’s not focus on being as agile as possible. Let’s just nitpick everyone’s word choice. That will help us deliver what the client wants.

And here I thought most inept devs wasted time in retrospectives or by debating other things that don’t freaking matter. No, we have to be culturally sensitive before actually delivering a solid product in a decent timeframe.

No wonder why the dumbass got fired. And now he’s wasting even more of their time... but at least this time it’s the legal departments time and not his coworkers.

I’d love to be a fly on his old manager’s wall.

Those who can, do.
Those who can't, teach.
Those who can't teach, manage.
Those who can't manage, nitpick the work of everybody else.

I'm willing to bet Kevin Batman and his 100 headmates get 5 hours of work done in an 8 hour work day, while this fucking nutjob got no work done at all and literally spent every day chimping out.

The legal document is great, basically two separate managers told him to stfu

They were actually encouraged to do this shit, though. At most workplaces, there's an unspoken policy that you check your politics at the door. At Google, there's a check your privilege instead. They invited people to speak their minds, without saying that only a very narrow range of opinion was allowed and that any deviation from that meant you got gangbanged by psychotic troons.

Also if they fired this guy while Tranny Batman isn't fired, he was almost certainly fucking up seriously.

I hope the fact that these idiots are now getting sued by people on both sides of the political spectrum encourages them to go back to doing business instead of being some kind of SJW shithole for the rejects of the tech world.
I've had bosses encourage that at some of the worse jobs I've had, and I didn't fall for it, because I understood that I could offend the boss and end up fired, with no way of knowing what parts of my opinions were welcome or not until I said em out loud. I think it is that autism social naivety issue that makes anyone think it won't have any consequences to express strong political opinions. It is much wiser to say you don't feel comfortable sharing or have no opinion.

If women can't handle basic shit like instruction booklets being written with male pronouns like this clearly mentally disturbed man is claiming, maybe women are too fragile to work in tech.

It's obvious that most real women don't care about that petty bullshit and can handle it fine, but this dude and the others like him act as if women can't handle the most minor of inconveniences without imploding.
Pretty misogynistic if you ask me...

Also, the obese bipolar transgender socialist who advocates punching random people on the street is mentally unstable?
Who coulda thunk it?

"Over 201,316 people blocked"
You know the sad thing here is that he's probably not exaggerating.
I like how he takes his inability to accept different ideas and thoughts from his own and puts it up on his profile like a trophy with that block count. I mean you reach at least 500+ people blocked maybe you should at least do some self reflection and consider it's not them in the wrong?
