Holy shit, just when i thought i'd never hear from this exceptional again, there he goes, outdoing himself and looking like a complete muppet.

IMO the DSPhere can be far more interesting than Phil most of the time. You know the types, the ones that get SUPER angry at Phil over tiny things he does and act like Phil just murdered a dude or something. The ones that would say they would attack him IRL if they see him. There are some pretty wild detractors. Back in the SoK days Radrad and that super annoying Australian chick tended to do that. They'd get insanely pissed off over Phil like... not putting food in the fridge or something and acted like he was the devil. It was pretty funny.

On the topic of Phil's hypocrisy... this Ask the King is basically a masterclass in contradictions and hypocritical comments.

He complained Patreon is down, then said Twitch subs were the focus and that was ok, then noted Patreon was down and he needed support.
He skipped a patron's questions because he didn't put it in the right part of the tumble weed forums. So the backer didn't even get his minuscule reward.
He defended streaming PUBG, a game he doesn't think is good, because he has to think about finances, then explicitly blasted streamers for supporting 'bad games' just to make a buck.
He is berating people for asking him things about Kat. After he hyped up revealing things about her FOR this podcast, and repeatedly hyped it up for her arrival. Now wants to know why people are asking.

He's coming unhinged.
I mean, none of this is new, but he's doing it faster than usual.

Unrelated: At the beginning of the stream, Phil mentioned he had a great time running errands with Kat yesterday, and that when you're with someone that you enjoy spending time with, even mundane things can be fun. This is better than the alternative, namely a person who just finds it boring.
In conclusion, Phil apparently thinks Leanna is watching, because there's no way that wasn't a direct dig. Petty.
Also funny that he's willing to talk about Kat when he can laud it over Leanna, but after that nobody has any right to ask, crazy stalkers.

It's like the minute you put a webcam on someone they turn from a normal, functioning adult to a cartoon character. Just play the game, add informative commentary that compliments the game, and if you're daring turn off the webcam because your face brings nothing to the gameplay.

Phil's content progressively worsened when he put the webcam up. Those stretches of silence ingame wouldn't be as bad if we didn't have to look at him. Plus his jack off sessions and his Nier fight stream with Leanna wouldn't habe even happened or been noticed.

honestly, it's because it works. It's much easier to flound around like a moron overreacting to every pixel on screen with some wacky voice and meme to become popular than just being a sane human being. It's pretty much what a large majority of literal children want and that gets the views. Unless you're doing something specific with gameplay (challenge runs/speedrunning etc) most people seem to just want you to act like an idiot.

Phil may be right, but really who cares? Every show on TV is acting, especially reality shows. I give him no credit for calling this out, especially when he proves to be a hypocrite yet again and does the same thing.

On the note of taxes, Phil is lying yet again about how he has no idea how he'll pay his taxes come April. He's perpetuating the bullshit that you have to pay the lump amount all at once. Speaking from personal experience with an owed tax amount of $7k, the IRS is perfectly happy to put you on a payment plan, even at just $200 a month. They want the money--nothing more. Fuck this guy.

Yeah caught that one. In January he said he can pay the 2017 back taxes but not the prior ones. He is an utter idiot who is trying to scam this whole tax shit but cannot make a single cohesive lie because first it was in;

1. november early december - I owe probably up to 10 000
2. then begathon 2017 - I won't find out til January
3. then early Jan 2018 - I have paid the 2017 back taxes and have about 100$ left - MAJOR lie because he said he won't find out towards mid Jan this was like the 6th.
4. then I think it was 2 days later he says I can pay the 2017 back taxes I just need to know how much - I AM STILL ASTOUNDED WHY NO ONE CAUGHT THIS!
5. Then feb comes no mention of paying them and then announces soul maid move this was about a week after prior statement.
6. Then I have maybe a couple thousand dollars from december. What the eff is it?!

I think a large majority have cottoned on to it but the worst part is the most hilarious part. So Phil gets more money he gets put in a higher bracket of tax which he then has to pay but with his what small group of tippers is not maintainable. He is nothing but utter greed.

I guess in his defense (ha!), Phil did already recton this, implying that by #savethehouse, he also meant that people were going to help Kat move into said house, and people were totally aware of that, and their donations made it possible, as he promised they would. It's all totally legitimate, okay? Sounds good.

This doesn't explain how he's going to get away with this sliding taxes narrative from here on out, though.

DSP's Foolproof Guide to the Souls Series

1. Use dupe glitch *cough* "grind" *cough* in Demon's Souls to get overleveled and make the game easy.
2. Use summons whenever possible, get heavy armour with ridiculous poise, max your Estus and chug like an alcoholic for Dark Souls.
3. Use broken Lightning spells, and molly-whop the game (DANGER: Tard rage may occur if you let a patch slip past you and find your spells nerfed, be cautious!) for Dark Souls 2.
4. Grind like a motherfucker for Bloodborne. Note - Don't fight the hunter at the end of Eileen's questline, or fight Ludwig in the DLC. They're both impossible.
5. Spam R1, get hit, then spam roll to get away. Use Estus. Repeat until either you or the enemy die, for Dark Souls 3.

Applies To All -

1. It's never your fault, so don't worry about blaming external influences like the camera, music, controls, etc.
2. Run away whenever you get the chance. Facing adversity head-on is for dumb fucks.
3. Don't attempt to parry/riposte, it doesn't work.
4. Make a loud, obnoxious sound followed by a similarly loud and annoying laugh everytime you die via fall damage/strong attacks.
5. Don't take what you've experienced in previous games, and try and grow as a player. Every game must be as if you're playing a Souls game for the very first time, with no knowledge being carried over.

Do all this, and someday, you too can be as good at the Souls series as DarkSydePhil!
