i found her while looking for motivation during my own weight loss, and after a few months, after losing the weight, i tried to motivate her for awhile.

This particular part of your post resonated with me the most. You were unhappy with your weight, found motivation, followed through and within a few months, you achieved your goal. AL is incapable of this process. I’m not surprised she rejected your efforts. It probably pissed her off.
I agree that she uses her weight as an excuse to avoid adult responsibilities. Sadly, this means she also misses out on all the fun parts of being a “grown up.”
