Come to think of it he fits the definition of Reasons Why Anime Is Slowly Dying. I thought Tiffany Grant was a big weeaboo but him and Jacob Chapman are just........well at least Tiffany can act.

His hatred of Evangelion is hilarious. Same with Jacob Chapman. Its too **complex** for them. I don't get half of the shit we are given, like EoA for example. But I still like it.

Anyone got any dirt on Bennett? He just screams unfunny jabba the hutt hack. Like the kind of guy who had a hentai folder at age 13 and also giggled every time he saw "boobies" ....

Sometimes he didn't make sense though, like when he praised the original Ghost in the Shell and the Stand Alone Complex series yet bashed the latter.
I know he got shit for Perfect Blue, Akira, and stuff. But like....he can't even do the research right. Like not realizing New Cutie Honey is a continuation of the original series.

The one I remember most was for this one space opera anime review he did, where he bitched about how stuff (either an assassination or some other point of drama) happened for no reason and then if you decided to watch it, you actually hear the reason why said thing happened on screen and in audio and everything. I do know he omits details from the Eva movie where it ends in Shinji strangling Asuka on the LCL-Beach with Rei looking up though.

I haven't watched this fat dishonest fuck since like 2013 though and never cared for him that much (I can count with my hands how many episodes I watched of his), so the details are pretty much gone.

Look, Imma be honest - I don't care for Evangelion or any BS like that (I hate 98% of anime in general and barely support the 2% I actually like, since anime isn't something I'm into at all, hence my scoffing at the internet being diseased constantly by it - unless your name is Gundam, thank you very much - and even then!), but yeah - Sage has no place judging it like he does if he's lying about stuff he shouldn't be if ever wants to call himself a proper critic - not just old-school anime, either. ANYTHING.

I'd hate to see Sage get a page here, only by virtue that I'm kinda entertained by him, but yeah - being a liar is a good way to get a page of scorn here, so if it happens (Sage getting labeled a lolcow for lying, of course - but nothing else, seeing as he is cleaning up his life just fine, and I respect him for that, otherwise.), I'm not completely against it - it just needs a truly good reason to exist - otherwise, we're wasting our time quite fucking royally.

fftopic: but why is it you don't like anime that much? animation? cliches? voices (dub and sub regardless). one could argue megaman has some anime elements in it being it was made in japan yet had a western following.

Generally, we don't like anime because of constant cliches, unnecessary fanservice, lazy animation, and the annoying weebs on the internet it tends to spawn.
Also, this is a thread for those "angry" "critics" that we all hate. If you want to talk about anime, you should go to the weeaboos & other Japan spergs thread. if you want to infect it further, that is.

Gabe left his reviews some months ago and Sage never even once said he had left,he just treats him as if he never existed.Some nasty fallout may have happened there...

Under most circumstances, saying that you don’t like Marvel movies would be fine. If you didn’t drag your points out for far too long, repeated yourself, and went into tangents just to get make the video far longer than it should have been.
His credibility only diminishes further when he reviews them constantly, and doesn’t talk about the cinematography, acting quality, you know, what SHOULD be the important thing in a movie?

Again. Usually, this would be fine. But the “I didn’t want to make this video” tangent he starts the video on, makes it damn near unwatchable. And when he actually gets to talking about the movie, he just shits on literally everyone on the production, making stupid insults, and calling everyone who liked the movie, “sheep that have dragged Hollywood down from it’s golden age to where it is now.”
Prequels were infinitely worse anyway.

In general, the "I don't want to do this!" reviewer trope, and its sister-trope, "You guys made me review it!" is just absolute hot piss, even as just a throwaway line. Like, unless they've literally got a gun to their head or the review is a paid commission, this was their own choice. Besides, why admit your heart's not invested in the content you're making? Nobody but the truly devoted crazies want to see a video they know is half-assed.

I remember this guy being mentioned on the MovieBob thread for his Thor: Ragnarok video. In it, he said he wasn't a DCEU fanboy and the following video he made was of Justice League (such originality in the title ).

Seems to me he tries too hard to be like IHE.
