Paypigs will be paypigs but I'm continually shocked by these levels of blind following
I'm pretty sure Amityville is legit retarded. That's the only explanation I have for this level of delusion.

I'm pretty sure Amityville is legit exceptional. That's the only explanation I have for this level of delusion.

He's either exceptional or someone who is just a troll/detractor. There were PM dumps a few months back (he used a temp email service which dumps any emails detected as spam onto public databases). He gets told off by mods all the time for causing shit with other members, and behind the scenes he's always involved with PMing people and accusing them of being "detractors".

That or he's legit exceptional.

so in the tumbleweed forums, phil's fans speculated only about his fundraiser being the reason he was banned. in response, phil says:

based on this, i'm thinking that the reason he was banned was for being toxic to other twitch streamers and not for any of the financial stuff. my reasoning is threefold.

1) people who posted in the thread were banned for speculating about the theory that e-begging antics got him banned from twitch. if there was any truth to their speculating, he might have reacted differently---more defensively and aggressively, i think.

2) "my talking about the situation would just make it worse, and won't clear up anything nor make anything better. Therefore, you'll never know what happened and it wont have any negative effect on anything going forward." He won't talk about it, and aside from today it's business as usual. He hasnt retroactively stopped calling Wednesday a fundraiser. Again, related to 1), i think if it actually was fundraiser related, he'd be reacting differently. That is, he would probably be able to explain it relatively easily, or at least start correcting the record and changing his vocabulary.

3) If it's because of his toxic mouthy idiocy, he would be reacting exactly the way he is. He cant afford to do an emergency vlahg about the issue because he knows he'll just run his mouth even more and get in more trouble. He'll talk about fucking idiot 9-5 burger flipping mouth drooling dummies taking what he said about DrDisrespect out of context and how twitch's business model is fucked and too big for its own good and some kind of autistic screed similar to what our friend @Bryan Dunn posted above. He can't do that though, so instead he's sperging about his taxes nonstop on twitter to garner sympathy for his fundraiser day.

I dont think too much will change in the short term, but if he was banned for toxicity, then he can't utilize one of his major strategies for maintaining his image in the eyes of his fans: shitting on other twitch streamers to make himself look better than them.

This also means it will probably be easier to get him in trouble by cheering and mentioning any other popular twitch streamer he might want to unload on.

Maybe if he bothered to do taxes properly like an actual functioning adult, he wouldn't need to waste 10 grand on a CPA or spend 12 hours doing taxes. Wow, it's like actions have consequences!

Mother fucker please.....

Regular folk can get theirs done for like 50 bucks at a Quicken Store or tax office. How in the literal fuck would taking your little "self employed" taxes to a CPA cost you 3 orders of magnitude more than anybody else?
You can e-file your taxes for free on numerous websites in under 30 minutes, an hour tops. I can't imagine Youtube, Twitch, and Patreon don't make it really easy for its users to file their taxes based on their earnings there. The only way this can be taking him an eternity to file is if he's trying to abuse a shitload of writeoffs, which he almost certainly is since he has claimed to write off his electricity bill as a business expense.

Did... did Phil just read my post putting that exact statement on here? Because I was rather handily educated upon that subject before you tried to call me a child Mr. Still Mad About Wolverine Toy if that's the case.

Maybe he did do that thing where you pay a shitzillion dollars an hour to have a tax monkey do it for you and he's bitching that it's taking too long.

Phil's method of defense is always vehemently deny, reluctantly tell the truth later. Same deal went with "the incident"; he tried to claim everyone's speculation was baseless, and he was never actually fapping. But once enough people called him out for the shit, he had to come clean about it. I refuse to take any defense he as at face value -- especially when there's legit evidence backing up the claims being made. From what I can tell so far, he clearly violated the TOS, and it makes sense to assume he got punished as a result of it. Yes we can argue about whether or not that was the exact reason he got banned, but reading the text of the TOS, there's no doubt that he's violated it.

10k for somebody to spend a few hours doing his taxes? Shit, this is weapons grade autism if his little paypigs believe that.

CPAs cost usually around $200/hr if I remember correctly. I don't know how you would have to pay someone 10k even if it takes all evening.

He’s spending 12 hours because like everything else in his life his paperwork is a huge mess. If he had his crap together his fed taxes should take 4 hours tops.

Alternative theory: he has some corporate scheme with holding companies etcetera that it really does take that long. This would be absolutely stupid and not cost effective if he’s not making way more money than his most optimistic projections. It’s also something a slick accountant or tax attorney might talk him in to.

If he's actually paying 10k and not inflating the budget for his own luxury spending, then he's had his tax monkey on the job for over a week (50 hours) by this point personally using his own numbers. That basically would imply his tax monkey's doing most of the filing and he's just sobbing at the poor fuck and trying to minmax his tax write-offs.

He's scouring every single credit card statement looking for deductions.

Notice the wording. He didn't keep receipts like a normal person making deductions or like a normal business person. He just is going through the statements.

I think Phil will have a rude awakening when he realizes he should have kept receipts.

I think Phil is just exaggerating just so he has an excuse to not do it. He pulled the same thing about direct capture and how it was so detrimental to the gameplay experience. If he's bullshitting about his taxes as we've speculated before, then it's possible that he already filed his taxes and is just looking for some khuality breaktime.
