Nice to hear he's losing subs, though. Maybe people are starting to see how pointless it is to throw cash at someone that treats you like crap, and only cares about your money.

Eh, I might be misreading it, but it's probably all those gift subs expiring and surprise- most of them aren't renewing it. He'll plateau to his hardcore numbers, but eventually the fans are going to run out of people to gift, unless they start gifting throwaway accounts or socks.

This begathon fucking sucks.

I thought multiplayer would mean he would play with his fans or at least be talking to his teammates but no, that would be way too scary because he can't control their speech. He's been losing subs and way under-performing his tip "goal", he better break out the gin and make an ass of himself if he expects 2k at this rate.

Can't wait for the upcoming duo match where he won't speak to his partner and surely blame the loss on him.

Now he's defending his boring stream by blaming the fact that no one is giving him money.

Here is something I want you to consider though. There is a community around phil that is very friendly and supportive. And to them phil is more white noise It's not something they take super serious, being part of that community is what even made me follow phil as long as I did. The social aspect of hanging out with people is way more important to people then what DSP does. He is just the guy being a clown with his occasional funny comment playing a new game.

Most of your post was somewhat reasonable, but this part is so far off from the truth. Where is this "friendly and supportive community" you speak of? It's not on his chat, everyone there gets banned for the most mild of insults/criticisms towards Phil. Phil gets actively involved when his stream chat is doing their own thing. It's not on his forums, where the same thing happens. Any time his fans form something outside of Phil (Discord), he bitches about it and tries to get it shut down. Just look at yourself: As one of the most prominent/visible members of Phil's community, you acted like a goddamn tyrant on his chat and everybody celebrated when you were rightfully banned from Twitch. It's patently obvious you weren't there for any social reason other than you had control over people, essentially bribing your way there since you aren't mentally or emotionally qualified to moderate any social gathering, and decided to abuse your power. Phil of course didn't give a shit because you were his #1 paypig. Honestly, who knows how many potential fans of Phil's you drove off with your behavior.

Because the "dissenting" opinions where not wanted. If you want to be a wasp in a beehive the beekeeper will remove you. It's not anything more mysterious then that. Imagine a bar with live music where a band plays some mediocre music in the background, and people start booing and complaining about the band. That is more distracting for the guests then the music they have come to listen to. The question for me was why was some people so hellbent having to insert themselves in to a community where they didn't like the entertainment. It's not open mike night. You know exactly what is on the schedule. There is plenty of "good entertainment" you could watch.

This whole post proves my point exactly. You decided what was "dissenting" opinion and enforced that with an iron fist. If the band in the bar (the game Phil is playing) sucks shit or is boring, the customers have every right to complain. They also have a right to complain if the bar itself (in this case, Phil's commentary and gameplay) has stale beer and the bartender can't make any drinks, then the owner (Phil) comes out and starts ranting about how he's been in business for a decade and they're all stupid for complaining. There wouldn't be so many complaints if Phil gave people what they wanted, but he doesn't and it's entirely his fault. Phil has complete control over what he will and won't play; he doesn't have to stick to his stupid schedule.

How does sub gifting work?

I'd expect people to just get re-gifted, or can you not do that, is it like you can only be gifted once or something?

"If people want to see Call of Duty we might as well switch to that, whatever entertains you guys..."

That sounded like the father who takes his kid to see a movie he hates just to get him to stop crying for a second, i felt bad when he said that. He really hates what he is doing, without mentioning he has yawned and stretched multiple times in this stream.

This is going to follow the same trend as Machinima. Listening to him talk about his discussion with his Twitch "contact" drives it home. He is manipulating what the guy said to match his world view and he will only see what he wants put of the advice given.

Much like addressing the Machinima criticism by shortening his videos and spamming inboxes, he will cut his talk about tips in the short term. But when the money doesn't come rolling in he will get mad at Twitch saying they are fucking with his income generation. He will shit talk them and the viewing audience which will cause the second strike for abusive content. I could be wrong. Phil could prove me wrong but that is my guess in how this plays in the short term.

Bounced for a while, came back..stream has been running for what? 4 hrs now? 431 subs (he's gotten like 1-2 subs so far this stream and a bunch of lost subs) and a paltry $53/2K in tips, now, the way DSP has been rambling about this (before the Twitch pimp-slap) for the last few weeks, this is a CRITICAL time for him and seeing the stream, as predicted, is such a monumental failure, surely he's in a lot of financial trouble right? he can't pay his bills/taxes!..my prediction is he knows the gig is up and we probably won't hear about it again, unless he decides to try his luck in a few months again.

Phil can’t handle random at all. CoD is a solved game at this point. There’s a best strategy for each map and such. PUBG is random. There are best in class weapons but you may never see them. Also, no team to carry him.

Rouglelikes would give him a stroke probably.
he played the binding of isaac, walked into fire, and was shocked that it killed him

Jesus christ

Just looked in on that trainwreck of a stream and he has made what $60 out of 2k, why 2k btw I thought he owed 10s of thousands so 2k seems a tad too damn specific /tinfoilhat.
calling it now, with whoever called it earlier
phil is going to "accidentally" turn off the donation thing, "magically" get a ton of money, and act greatful for once to an "anonymous" "donator"
