shiba inus, other nihon ken or any other primitive dog breeds would make awful service animals due to the fact that they don’t listen to commands as often as they should. they have a high prey drive, so even on a leash they would still try to pull and tug to chase something smaller than them.

All things considered, it's quite clear weebs follow just about anything they deem cute without the slightest bit of awareness or research. It's why any subreddit involving a video game with a high female:male ration descends into porn territory. It won't matter the age range of the characters either.

I'm pretty sure they mostly just slightly changed the color saturation and hue. Least the people who redraw images (from what ive seen)put in more effort to make them look more than just "ambiguously brown".

Can confirm as well, I dog-sit my cousin's Shiba Inu sometimes. Good dog, but inconsistent with listening to commands and she makes walks a bit of a pain because she has to stop and chase every fucking lizard she sees.

Shiba Inu are more like cats, they're the cats of the dog world. Regardless of training they just sort of do whatever the fuck they want.

I want to point out that emotional support animals and service dogs are not the same. Service dogs have specialized training, but emotional support animals are not required to have training. So, yeah a shiba inu can be an emotional support animal.

Emotional support animals are for mental illnesses and mental disabilities. Service dogs are for diabetes, PTSD, the blind, the deaf, people with seizure disorders, and mobility issues, the people who qualify for service dogs is much more narrower. People with PTSD can get either an emotional support animal or service dog, but a service dog would be a better choice as it won't start humping you as you have a flashback.
