Someone must have gotten proof that Greta was using TLL funds for her own personal use to the board. They probably called for an audit, and I hope during that process they realized how badly run TLL was, and decided to take steps to fix that. Given how she bowed out without screaming or showing up at someone's door while they were taking a shit, I wonder if she was given the choice to either go quietly or face being reported to the FBI for fraud. Yeah, ideally she should be held accountable for her actions, but sometimes, it's better to just cut out the cancerous people and try to regroup.

I think that from the moment Greta had the idea for a troon commune they were going to leave TLL, it was just a question of when. Very soon after Pajeet was detained they pretty much withdrew from TLL and Greta posted that they were taking time to decide "what next". I do think the "when" was decided by Nina's legal woes, but there were plenty of signs that they were planning to move on prior to that.

They're absolutely the kind of people who just walk away from stuff when they get bored with it . TLL has served its purpose for them.

The trans community certainly didn’t want screeching shit flinging drama so they have tried to keep this as professional as possible. How would it have looked when they reveal the whole operation barely took calls and Greta used it as her own private piggy bank? Lots of SJW groups and writers endorsed TLL by promoting it so they all look bad when it’s revealed those donations were mostly leeched for Greta’s great adventure... esp when we’ve posted proof of it for years but we’re ignored.

They're still virtue signalling. Look at the way they're trying to package Sisterwood as all things to all (trans) people. Sisterwood is being held out as something which can change people's lives forever, as opposed to a bandaid which solves one problem for a short period.

Greta and Nina might not be drawing a salary any more, but we have no idea whether they will still benefit financially from TLL. Non-profits can make donations to other non-profits and it's very possible TLL will donate funds to Sisterwood. It's also possible they received exit payments of some kind - I've seen non-profits pay founders to leave before. It's almost certain that Greta and Nina will hold on to assets which were ostensibly purchased for TLL.

We're talking about people who are planning to write a book about how to set up a lean startup. People who are convinced that they can do the same with any other project as they did with TLL (and they may not be wrong on that - they're hand picking the board of Highgarden just as they did with TLL). They don't make rational decisions (after all, Nina walked away from Google), but from their perspective their irrational decisions have paid off.

This reminds of the time when Riley Dennis claimed that Iran is actually way more progressive than Amerikkka when it comes to trans rights because the government subsidizes sexual reassignment surgery. In reality, gay men and lesbians are often pressured to change their sex because, in the eyes of the Islamist Iranian government, being transgender is much preferable to simply being homosexual. In Iran, homosexuality is a crime, punishable with death for men and lashings for women. So for gay people, it's either stay in the closet/fly really low under the radar, change their sex, or get arrested and possibly executed. And even if they do get a sex change, trans people in Iran still have a hard life.

Anyway, seeing TLL claim that Pakistan does well in any area of human rights is laughable. Unless you're a heterosexual Sunni Muslim male, you're screwed.

Yep. TLL is tiny as far as non-profits go. Their donors don't demand any accountability (from the viewpoint of donors, TLL is a success), and they're too small to be on the radar of any regulatory bodies.

The main downside to operating as TLL has operated in the past is that it cuts you off from institutional funding. It's a small enough organisation that if too many questions are asked you can just shut it down without any further meaningful consequences.

From what was posted after the court date, it seems like deportation proceedings were dismissed by the judge. As they've now been through the green card application process and the deportation proceedings were the only barrier to a green card being granted, she now gets a normal green card provided Nina was correct about DHS waiving their right of appeal.

I linked to the numbers up thread, but it turns out being allowed to stay is the most common outcome when people have a lawyer and had a valid path to residency.

Of course a green card can be revoked, so committing a federal drug offence is unwise.

I don't think it's a coincidence that a support line for friends and family is being established as Greta and Nina depart. We've seen enough "fuck cis people" private posts from them to know that it wouldn't happen under their watch.
