Greta Gustava Martela / Kjel Anderson & Nina Chaubal / Niraj Chaubal - Stole $350k+ from Trans Lifeline, kill count of 2+ from negligence, Founders of Sisterwood/La Zorra.

Has she thrown it all away for the sake of making Troontown a full time thing, or did they just decide having a leader who's openly hoping for a shoot-out with the police on the run with her illegal immigrant wife while planning a drug farm wasn't quite the image they wanted? I wonder if perhaps Grina had their sausage-fingers in the till to pay for Troontown and the other folk in charge decided that was the last straw?

I'll be interested to see how this goes. If they can't continue to dip into TLL funds, I wonder how they hope to get Troontown up and running? I imagine they've got a bit of scratch left over from the scam, but that won't last long. And if they're relying on donations from the trans community... well... :optimistic::optimistic::optimistic:

Does anyone know anything about Trans-Life's Board of Directors? This sounds like she might have been forced out. Or perhaps they're shutting the whole thing down.

It sounds to me like Stink Ditch & Pajeet had seen the writing on the wall at TLL, being the people funded it actually wanted the phone calls from mentally ill men in dresses to be answer, and that Troonblinka was their fallback plan scam.

Only flaw in this version of events is Kjel leaving gracefully and not in a flurry of drama.

Is it time for us to start a new thread for Greta, Nina and Sisterwood and leave this one for TLL stuff?

Given that tll and shrek have parted ways that could work. Also we might actually have actual lolcow cult.

  1. greta and nina (obviously)
  2. terra jones
  3. katja galinia
And thats three I know of (with of threads of their own) I'm sure you can get more if you look around.

I'd say to leave it as is for a while, to see if the new heads of TLL are as exceptional as Nina and Greta are. If the new management decides a shakedown is in order and actually makes the lifeline a somewhat functional service (and I use the phrase liberally) and properly uses their social media outlets, I guess the thread could be renamed to focus on Greta and Nina, or we could close this one and have a separate thread.

Bye shrek. Maybe TLL will stop being a scam. Given they just kicked out the most toxic element. Now hurry up shrek troontown isn't going to burn itself .

@gamer2014 If you catch something that I missed, cap that shit.

Is there any chance that guy from TLL Canada is taking over? TLL never had a demand in the states let alone migrating to Canada, my guess is that he's taken some form of control.

Your talking about this guy:

Sometimes in my daily ogre check, I will found TLL affiliates in the page likes by that page. So with that I find TLL canada. Damn this cult gets around.

The weird thing was I didn't get a crazy vibe from this person.

I note that neither Greta or Nina are being specific about their plans now, which is odd, given that they have this huge plan for this commune. They almost seem to be talking it down. I mean, even if they were booted, you’d think they’d be talking about Sisterwood as the next big project. It suggests to me that they weren’t planning for this.

Here’s my hypothesis. Sisterwood’s funding was mostly coming from TLL, either directly or through Grina’s salaries. This was going to be the source long-term, because no one with money is going to donate to something that’s so obviously going to end badly, which benefits only troon extremists. Now they don’t have that income (they may even have been fired over that), Sisterwood may be dead.

Scout Wolfcave became "Deputy Executive Director" of TLL when the two services merged, so she will likely assume the role of Executive Director. She's pretty much been running the place anyway during Greta and Nina's very long absence.

Greta and Nina never really promoted TLL Canada.

It will be interesting to see whether Nina and Greta take up positions on TLL's board. That often happens when founders move on and TLL's board is apponted rather than elected. I doubt we'd know, though, as they haven't listed their board members publicly since soon after this thread started.

Greta's been saying there'll be a Sisterwood fundraiser soon since last year. I suspect that was on hold pending the outcome of Nina's court appearance and that the only reason they officially left on the date they did was so they could both get paid for February.

Plenty of their donors thought they did an OK job with TLL, so they're not necessarily going to assume Sisterwood will end badly. They're marketing it as a few different things (not the least of which is a refuge for homeless trans people), so I expect they will get some initial donations.

I don't think we'll have any content at all for TLL without Greta and Nina. If the people running the show were lolsy at all we'd have heard about it already.

If OP is reading this I would suggest keeping "ex-Trans Lifeline" on the title anyway for SEO reasons.

Confirmation that TLL has not reported for the 2015, 2016 and 2017 financial years. Failure to report for three consecutive years can lead to revocation of their charitable status. I don't know if that happens automatically as it does here, but it's worth keeping an eye on.

Edit : I've found their 990-EZ for 2015, so it's only 2016 and 2017 for which they haven't filed.

Be pretty interesting if the whole thing just fold or has to be redone properly from scratch by the new board.

Do we have any idea if TLL has been answering calls for the last 6 months? I know others have been running the show but just wondered if because of that things were any more operational or it just continued to be a front for Greta to pocket donations.

Hmm. Makes me think the board was just on paper up until now, and paid zero attention to the fact that no tax paperwork was being filed at all - likely because the funds were all going straight to Greta and Nina's insane side projects and constant travel, rather than the help line.

The board is fiscally responsible, legally, for any financial mis management or deficit left by the organization. Once they actually sort through the past finances and understand what they failed to oversee, I wonder if they won't just shut it down.

They've had paid staff to answer calls for quite a while now and towards the end of last year were promoting the hotline as being available 18 hours a day. The hotline was also reduced to the status of a project when they merged with TAP.

The majority of their money has always gone to salaries. They had a staff of 6 or 7 with Nina and Greta on board. Even if they're not replaced by other paid staff, it's difficult to see how they can justify 4 or 5 staff when they do so little. It's more staff than many small charities which maintain an office have.

I don't think the board has ever been unaware of what's been going on, but they've never held public board meetings or public annual general meetings where the financial statements are open to scrutiny so there was little risk of what they were rubber stamping being challenged.

I would expect to see more funds directed to service delivery now not because of the board but because grass roots service delivery is very much Scout Wolfcave's thing (batshit is she is).
